Most of these new hires are from small businesses that the Federals have little affect on but the States, Counties and Cities have a high degree of affect on. The unemployment rate has been dropping for 9 years now. We had some 76 consecutive months of unemployment growth before Trump was even sworn in.

Giving trump credit for record low unemployment rates is like giving the New England Patriots backup quarterback credit for breaking a team record for most points scored in a single game after he throws 1 touchdown to break the record after Brady puts up 63 points and hands the backup a first and goal from the 5 yard line.
