Virginia is a poor bellweather. The dems already controlled the state except for the legislature. They were lagging there because of an inability to get people to run in the past. Trump will not be removed. I maintain that 2020 will be decided by Justice Ginsburg's body temperature.

Pre-Trump, Republicans had a majority of 66-34 in the House of Delegates Virginia was a bellweather state in 2017. Democrats won big among suburban voters and won the female vote by a larger margin than Clinton did. Those apparently are still in play. 2020 will be determined by suburban voters.

That triad of Pennsylvania/Wisconsin/Michigan that infamously tilted Rump in and thereby averted "riots", not one of them were able to choose a candidate. Nobody broke 50% in any of them. That's a rather soft landing.

Bevins was never down by 17. The polls showed Bevins was up by single digits days before the election and before Trump's visit. Bevins lost because he ran behind Republicans in suburban counties. Bevins was correctly described as Trump before there was a Trump. Democrats stole no votes.

Virginia turned blue because suburban voters have turned against the GOP. Just as they did in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Just as they did in Georgia and Texas to name a few states. These suburban areas are not next to DC.

Sooner or later the suburbs are going to get tired of the cities dumping their shit on them. Cities and Democrats have nothing worthwhile to offer. That's why they're concentrating on impeachment. The upper middle class that is exemplified by suburbs have the most to lose under socialism. And it should be abundantly clear by now, the Democrat party is now solidly, majority socialist.

It is abundantly clear that the Republican Party is for dirty air, dirty water and destruction of wildlife habitats. Tax cuts for the rich and powerful. The rural areas are where white supremacists and neo-nazis reside.
