Do yesterdays results have give any indications for the next elections or is it just local stuff ?

I have been reading about a pro trump backlash over the "fake impeachment" hearings but I cant see evidence of that. But I cant see the Gop vote collapsing completely either.

Too close to call ?

It was not a good day for Republicans. The elections showed that the dynamics of 2018 are still in play. Heavy turnout in suburban areas which favored Democrats. In Kentucky, suburban voters split their ticket by voting for a Republican AG and a Democrat Governor. Bevins was correctly described as Trump before there was a Trump. It spells problems for the GOP in the suburbs in 2020 and in states like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. It also points to a dynamic that puts Arizona, Georgia and Texas in play.
