Just as America forced the Japanese to surrender with two bombs, what's to make us think that Russia won't resort to the same thing if it gets in trouble with losing it's war in Ukraine ? No amount of small arms technology can stand against a nuclear strike. Negotiations and diplomacy is the only way forward.

Yes; I agree, but you do realise that the US and Europe have guaranteed Uke sovereignty? Now we find out whether America's word is worth anything. I think it IS despite Biden's disgusting handling of it. I suggest that Trump will be the key, and Zelensky has said as much with his BBC reported comments.

How in the hell can we guarantee Ukraine sovereignty in that region, and do so without that type of thing (in and of itself), basically sending a statement to Russia that we will assist the territory of Ukraine in it's defenses against Russia, and do so regardless of the diplomatic solutions that are available ? Did Biden exhaust all diplomatic solutions possible by including Russia in the talks that were needed ? We know the answer to that one, and so here we are in a nasty situation with a nuclear super power because of it all. We need not continue down the rabbit hole, and it's time for diplomatic solution's to take precedence over weapons and cash.
