Destroying the munitions and factories of the enemy (etc) is known as legitimate in war. You seek to prevent your enemy from producing the very items that might get your troops killed or injured. You kill the fighting forces of the enemy to stop them from doing the same to your fighting forces.
Targeting their civilians and non military-related properties doesn’t serve the legitimate purposes of the horrors of warfare. It does happen. Hell, we have done it to some enemies. But that doesn’t make it ok.
Ukraine didn’t bomb it’s own shelters and slaughter it’s own people. And — of course — they didn’t do anything to the civilians or property in Russia. Putin’s forces have taken the war directly to the civilians of Ukraine. Putin is an absolutely evil ****.
There is a fog of war. No doubt. But this isn’t part of that fog. It’s absolutely clear. By his war crime behavior, Putin has established who is right and who is wrong. He is unquesrionably in the wrong.
