A leading coronavirus model has upped its predicted death toll again, this time projecting 74,000 Americans will lose their lives to the virus by August.
Considering we are at 56,000 and it's not even May yet, they are probably right.

Wait, the first question I always ask is "are your subways still running"? The TTC in Toronto is. So, if any experts want to point fingers they can start with that. Or those that presume Big Box stores and beer are essential services. States allowing their citizens and businesses to find safe ways to operate, are no different than all of these other locations and they have far less traffic.

Politics is nothing is not hypocritical. This virus has definitely become political. It seemed to be the point right from the beginning. Trump needs his rallies, Biden and Trump need their well watched debates.

If the actual number is lower than the projected number it means social distancing/masks/self isolation is working.
The model was wrong.

That's part of NYC's problem.

We still have over a million cases and over 56,000 deaths with no end in sight.

It's a good thing that polar bears are extinct from all that global warming or they'd be catching this Covid stuff next.

Might want to think about those numbers.

What percentage of 1,000,000 is 56,000?

You do know that you can't catch it if you stay home. That means you don't have to worry about the rest of us.

The political party that cried wolf. It's obvious now—should be obvious to every last American—that the Chinese Virus is yet another attempted coup d'état and quite possibly an attempted revolutionary transition to communism, American style. The bad news? Either attempt to end our civilization as we know it could still succeed.

Exactly....The percentages are bullshit....All the models were dead wrong because they underestimated total infections and overestimated how many deaths would occur, to the point that they've been lying about cause of death on numerous certificates.

And now we're supposed to carry on treating people who have exaggerated and outright lied about the models as authority figures.

Social distancing and house arrest on a biblical scale was pushed NOT to reduce the death toll, but merely to spread it out, flatten the curve, and prevent the health care system from becoming overstressed with too many cases at one time.
