I have one of those, with the original plastic grips. Made in 1901, belonged to my great-gandfather.My favorite is the good old Colt Single Action Army revolver with a 5.5 inch barrel, ivory grips, and chambered in .45 Colt.

Modern gatling guns especially the 30mm GAU 8 Avenger. That is a serious kick ass weapon. As far as home I'll take a 12 gauge pump because I want to be the one left standing. If I could get one I'd have an M16 though.my favorite weapon are rocket launchers
especially the toy ones in the old Godzilla movies

I think the most fun gun I shot in nam was a quad fifty once. I was playing courier for some moble radar gear being trucked in a convoy that had a gun truck escort once and they let me shoot it. I know the gatling probably has more fire power but the quad was more fun to me. Maybe it was because you sat inside the thing surrounded by M2s. Dont remember ever firing a thump gun. I was in the AF so we didn't get as much exposure beyond the M16 and pistols. I did get a ride in an F4 once and we fired the 20mm Vulcan and some 2.5" rockets. Does that count?..I've fired grenade launchers, an UZI, .50 cal MG, M60, mortars, M16A1 and 2, ...Modern gatling guns especially the 30mm GAU 8 Avenger. That is a serious kick ass weapon. ..I was a mortarman...bipods weighed 42 pounds..our base plate was one piece......base plate 2 pieces? post a pic pleasePosting on the Military forum assumes that one would have some experience with these weapons rather than engaging in a fantasy discussion. General Patton opined that the M-1 Garand was the "greatest battle weapon ever devised". Not many of us are still around who had to qualify with the M-1 but I still remember qualification day on Parris Island. A left handed NY kid managed to qualify sharpshooter thanks to Marine training. The 9.5 rocket launcher would spit cordite in the winter and cut your face. We usually wore hoods when firing them but I still have a small scar on my lower lip. The 81mm mortar was the only artillery weapon intended to be carried by ground troops. It broke down to the bipods, tube and two piece base plate. Even as a radio operator I carried a base plate part for many a mile.

Maybe Army pogues thought they were mortarmen when they rode on vehicles with the four duce stuff. Real infantry mortarmen who had to carry the 81mm remember that the baseplate broke down to the inner and outer ring...I was a mortarman...bipods weighed 42 pounds..our base plate was one piece......base plate 2 pieces? post a pic pleasePosting on the Military forum assumes that one would have some experience with these weapons rather than engaging in a fantasy discussion. MK19 automatic grenade launcher. It's old hat now...but when it was new, it was the cat's meow.
I saw the demonstration when it was first put into service. They aimed it at a surplus silver bus three kicks away.
My reaction was exactly the same as this fellas...almost word for word.
