Premiums and deductibles may be some of your Medicare costs and may change every year. If you’re on Medicare, or soon will be eligible for Medicare, you will be happy to know that Medicare covers a lot of medical and preventive care. However, there are some out-of-pocket costs you may have to pay. Medicare Part A, Part B, Part C, and Part D can each have premiums and deductibles, although most people don’t have to pay a Part A premium.

were on medigap, part a and b and sripts ,we are allowed to write off 164.50 X 12.

Part A premiums; Part B premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments (for services and items Medicare covers)

Yet another way government funnels money to the insurance industry.

BS, ~$200 is help to anyone. Without special circumstances the STD DED at ~27K married swamps out anything but Millionaire coastal elite. There is no reason to fool with Schedule 1 or whatever since the 2017 TAX reform. Life became so simple.

President Trump on MT. Rushmore for pushing that thru!!!!! The last four clowns prior did not do anything to help us!!!! Only Trump!!!!

I don't care, it's a write off.

LOL! its' not a write off to 95% of us. We use the STD DEDUCTION is so high you can't touch it in your trailer park home and even if you have $18K in medical costs. No I am not looking it up. I do my own taxes every year. To get deductions higher than $14K single or $27K married takes a bunch of property TAX and whatever else is deductible. Even in a $750K home in CA you no longer itemize.
pound sand libstain loons.

It's a Q for your accountant, as a sliding fee scale applies to almost every taxation ~S~

If you use the standard deduction you cannot write off health insurance premiums unless you are self employed and use a schedule C.

For 2023, they'll get the regular standard deduction of $27,700 for a married couple filing jointly. They also both get an additional standard deduction amount of $1,500 per person for being over 65.
