God but you're clueless when it comes to economics, GG! Unlike you...Donald Trump understands that oil prices that are too low are as dangerous as prices that are too high. His policies brought about a surge in oil and natural gas production but also led to the Saudis and Russia cutting the price of their oil in order to compete. They attempted to make oil produced from Shale too expensive to compete. They did the same thing thirty years ago.

Can you understand WHY Trump was asking Russia and Saudi Arabia to cut their production? It wasn't that the pandemic was causing the price of oil to decline...it was because Russia and Saudi Arabia were engaged in a price war.Yes it is true. It was not price cuts that were the problem when Trump did this, it was the world wide pandemic that caused oil/fuel usage to sharply decline, thus causing the price of oil to do so as well. We could have rode out the lower prices and then we would not be so low in production now. Just imagine what the price of gas would be if the US/SA/Russia were all producing as much as oil as they were in Feb of 2020.
