You are unemployed and want a new job, under a Democratic president you have a better chance of getting one!

LOL You're blaming Dems for high rents? The Dems are the first ones that advocate for rent-controls and lowering rent prices, while right-wing Republicans fight tooth and nail to stop rent control and lowering rents. You're all for subsidizing the rich:

And you constantly flip the finger to the working class. You're for socialism for the wealthy and "FU" for the working class, "pick yourself up by your own bootstraps bucko, you fukn bum, get to work, stop complaining...". You're for a "fiscal responsible economic policy", when the government is serving the needs of the American working class, asking questions like "whose going to pay for it?"..."we're running out of money, OMG! We're going broke! OMG!"...But when it comes to subsidizing the wealthiest people in our society, not one peep from you. You remain quiet.

Spend trillions bailing out the rich, subsidizing them, with public funds, and you never ask "whose going to pay for it", only when the government spends money, on the working class, do you start whining. You hypocrites.

Well that was a marvelous rant imitation impersonation of ME, during my 40 years as a far left Democrat (1969-2009). Ho hum. All the words I used to say, before I grew up.

Here's a few things you might be interested to know >>

  • Trump cut taxes more for the lower income groups than for the rich - 3 & 4 % than the rich top bracket > 2.6%
  • after 3.5 years of Biden's presidency, we have seen no change in taxation on the rich. Still a relatively low 37%.
  • Previous Republican presidents had MUCH higher tax rates on the rich.
  • Federal income tax rates and brackets | Internal Revenue Service
  • Blue states with bans on rent control, include these states that Biden won in 2020 >> Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Virginia, Georgia, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut,
  • Blue states without a ban, but they also DON'T HAVE rent control >> Nevada, Nebraska, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, Hawaii.
  • So out of 27 blue states, 22 either don't have rent control statewide, or have a ban on it (13 of them).
  • In 2016, Hillary Clinton got more $$$ from Wall St fat cats than Trump & Sanders.

You are making one BIG mistake. The Democrats are not looking to be a socialist country. They believe in Democratic Socialism, such as Norway has. In addition, no one is trying to get rid of Capitalism. All that is being done is to have some controls and restrictions, so that it is not "unfettered" as the chart shows.

This is what our forefathers wanted when they made the Constitution. They wanted compromise between the parties so no extremes were able to be reached. Uncontrolled Socialism (Communism) is as bad and Uncontrolled Capitalism. Both have to be restricted and controlled so the good comes out and is used and the bad of each is not given a chance to come out.

Do you understand????? It is the center of politics. Not the Far Right or the Far Left.
You are comparing a grape to a watermelon. metaphor.
Norway has a population less than most states.
It is a more homogeneous population than in the USA.
It also has an exception dose of natural resources for it's size and population;
....
Norwegians enjoy the second-highest GDP per capita among European countries (after Luxembourg), and the sixth-highest GDP (PPP) per capita in the world. Norway ranks as the second-wealthiest country in monetary value, with the largest capital reserve per capita of any nation.[153] According to the CIA World Factbook, Norway is a net external creditor of debt.
....
The country is richly endowed with natural resources including petroleum, hydropower, fish, forests, and minerals. Large reserves of petroleum and natural gas were discovered in the 1960s, which led to an economic boom.[citation needed] Norway has obtained one of the highest standards of living in the world in part by having a large amount of natural resources compared to the size of the population.[citation needed] In 2011, 28% of state revenues were generated from the petroleum industry.
...

Socialism is socialism.
Putting lipstick on it doesn't change or improve it.
No such thing as uncontrolled socialism, since socialism is all about control.

Protectionist, your attempt to dismiss my arguments with a condescending tone doesn’t change the fact that your claims are riddled with inaccuracies and half-truths. Let’s address them point by point.

1. Trump's Tax Cuts:

You claim that Trump cut taxes more for the lower income groups than for the rich. While it’s true that Trump's tax cuts included reductions for all income brackets, the reality is that the wealthiest Americans received a much larger absolute benefit from these cuts. The top 1% saw their after-tax income increase significantly more than any other group. Additionally, the corporate tax rate was slashed from 35% to 21%, overwhelmingly benefiting the wealthy and large corporations. These tax cuts also contributed to ballooning the deficit, which Republicans conveniently ignore when they benefit the rich but use as a pretext to cut social programs that help the working class.

Despite the tax cuts under the Trump administration, other expenses for the working class have increased, effectively negating any benefits that the tax cuts might have provided. Here are some key points to consider:

  1. Healthcare Costs:
    • Under the Trump administration, there were efforts to undermine the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which led to uncertainty and rising healthcare costs for many Americans. Premiums for health insurance, prescription drug prices, and out-of-pocket healthcare expenses continued to rise, putting a strain on working-class families despite the tax cuts.
  2. Housing Costs:
    • The cost of housing has continued to rise, particularly in urban areas. Rent and home prices have increased significantly, outpacing wage growth. The tax cuts did nothing to address the housing affordability crisis, and in some cases, the reduction in federal revenue contributed to cuts in programs that could have helped alleviate these issues.
  3. Education Costs:
    • College tuition and student loan debt have continued to skyrocket, placing an increasing burden on working-class families. The Trump administration rolled back some consumer protections for student borrowers, which further exacerbated the financial challenges related to education.
  4. State and Local Taxes:
    • The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) of 2017 capped the state and local tax (SALT) deduction at $10,000, disproportionately affecting middle-class taxpayers in states with higher taxes. This cap increased the effective tax burden for many working- and middle-class households in those states.
  5. Public Services and Infrastructure:
    • The federal tax cuts led to reduced revenue for the government, which in turn resulted in budget cuts at the state and local levels. This has affected public services like education, transportation, and infrastructure, leading to higher costs for the working class, who often rely on these services.
  6. Inflation and Cost of Living:
    • While the Trump tax cuts provided a short-term boost in take-home pay for some, the longer-term effects included increased deficits and national debt, which can contribute to inflationary pressures. As a result, the cost of living has continued to rise, particularly for essential goods and services, effectively diminishing the purchasing power of the tax cuts.
2. Biden and Taxation:

Your claim that there has been "no change in taxation on the rich" under Biden is misleading. The Biden administration has proposed several tax increases on the wealthiest Americans and corporations, including raising the corporate tax rate and increasing the top marginal tax rate for high earners. The challenge, however, lies in the Senate, where Republican obstruction and a few conservative Democrats have stalled these proposals. The fact remains that Biden's administration is working to increase taxes on the wealthy to fund essential social programs and infrastructure investments that benefit everyone, not just the rich.

3. Rent Control in Blue States:

You cherry-pick examples of blue states with bans on rent control or without statewide rent control laws, but this doesn’t tell the whole story. Many blue states and cities have strong tenant protections and rent control measures in place, especially in areas with significant housing affordability issues. For example, New York City and San Francisco have well-established rent control policies. Furthermore, Democrats at the federal level have consistently advocated for increased affordable housing and rental assistance programs. Republicans, on the other hand, have largely opposed these measures, favoring market-based solutions that have proven ineffective in addressing the housing crisis.

Republicans complaining about Dem rent control policies:

Democrats are more likely to be pro-rent control than Republicans. To pretend otherwise is disingenuous at best.

4. Wall Street Donations:

Yes, Hillary Clinton received significant donations from Wall Street during her campaign, which is a point of criticism from progressives and socialists alike. However, this doesn’t change the fact that Democratic policies generally favor stronger regulations on financial institutions, protections for consumers, and support for working families. In contrast, Republicans have consistently pushed for deregulation, which led to the 2008 financial crisis, and continue to advocate for policies that benefit the wealthy elite at the expense of the working class.

5. Comparing Red and Blue States:

Comparing red and blue states on rent control is a disingenuous tactic. The reality is that rent control and tenant protection policies are typically stronger in blue states and cities, where Democrats have more control. The absence of statewide rent control in some blue states doesn’t negate the fact that Democratic lawmakers and city governments in these states are actively working to address housing affordability through various means, including rent control, affordable housing initiatives, and rental assistance programs.

On the other hand, Republican-controlled states and cities often reject these measures, leading to higher rents and fewer protections for tenants.

Protectionist, your arguments rely on selective data and misleading claims. The truth is that Democratic policies are far more aligned with protecting the working class, advocating for affordable housing, and regulating the excesses of the wealthy and powerful. Republicans, including Trump, have consistently prioritized tax cuts for the rich, deregulation, and policies that exacerbate income inequality and housing insecurity. Your attempt to paint the Democratic Party as hypocritical while ignoring the blatant pro-wealthy policies of the Republican Party doesn’t hold up under scrutiny.

Socialism is socialism.
Putting lipstick on it doesn't change or improve it.
No such thing as uncontrolled socialism, since socialism is all about control.
Capitalism is all about control over workers and public resources. So your views couldn't be more warped. Norway is the way it is partly yes to its natural wealth, however, also due to its social democratic values and policies. It's a socialistic society, that has a mixed economy. Some capitalism with some socialism. What anti-socialist polemicists like you refuse to recognize is that socialism and communism, come in different forms, despite your objections to that fact.

The countries that consistently rank highest in terms of standard of living, satisfaction, and happiness are those that have mixed economies—combining elements of market capitalism with strong social welfare systems. These nations provide their citizens with a robust social safety net, which includes comprehensive healthcare, education, unemployment benefits, and pensions, among other social services.

Examples include:

  1. Scandinavian Countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland):
    • These countries are often cited as examples of successful mixed economies. They combine a free-market capitalist system with extensive social welfare programs, including universal healthcare, free or heavily subsidized education, generous parental leave, and strong labor protections. As a result, they consistently rank high on the World Happiness Report and have some of the highest standards of living in the world.
  2. Germany:
    • Germany has a strong social market economy, which blends free-market capitalism with a comprehensive social safety net. The country provides universal healthcare, free higher education, and robust unemployment benefits. Germany's economy is also characterized by strong labor unions and cooperative relationships between employers and employees, which contribute to high levels of worker satisfaction.
  3. Canada:
    • Canada combines a market-based economy with a wide range of social services, including universal healthcare, social security, and various forms of social assistance. Canadians benefit from a strong public education system and programs that help reduce poverty and inequality. Canada consistently ranks high in global quality of life indexes.
  4. Netherlands:
    • The Netherlands has a mixed economy with a strong welfare state. The country provides universal healthcare, excellent public education, and substantial social benefits, including unemployment and disability insurance. The Dutch system promotes a high standard of living and ranks high on happiness and well-being measures.
  5. Switzerland:
    • Switzerland has a mixed economy with a strong focus on social insurance and public services. While it has a highly developed free-market economy, the country also provides extensive healthcare coverage, a well-functioning pension system, and various social protections. Switzerland frequently ranks high in terms of quality of life and happiness.
These countries demonstrate that a balanced approach, combining a well-regulated market capitalism with the equity and security provided by socialism, can lead to a prosperous, satisfied, and happy populace. The key is to ensure that economic growth and wealth are distributed in a way that benefits society as a whole, rather than just a select few. This model contrasts sharply with more laissez-faire capitalist systems, like we have here in the US, where the lack of a strong social safety net, has led to higher levels of inequality, poverty, and social dissatisfaction.

Now don't tell me to go to these other countries, NO. I'm an American and I have just as much a right to advance my political ideology and social values, as you do. So spare me the nasty stupid comments against democratic socialists like me, demanding that we leave our country and go live somewhere else. No, I live here, this is my country just as much as it is yours, and I'm a democratic council-socialist. If anyone should leave, why not you? You leave, I stay.

The Marxists have been infiltrating our edu, media, and governance for the last ONE HUNDRED YEARS. If you CHOOSE to not believe that FACT, that's on YOU.
Look up Yuri Bezmenov, he'll explain it clearly to you from way back in 1985.
We are at the threshold and it's fucking OBVIOUS.
The demented LEFT have embraced Marxism and want to FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE this country, just like Obama told us.
It's not even debatable at this point.

That picture to the right does not have the reality with it. Many of the people have drugs, alcohol, children out of wedlock, prison records, many abortions, not very good at work, lower educations, and anything related. If they surpass this and make amends, then you are right. And tell the rich Progressives to give up their wealth. To accept illegals and poorer people into their living areas. There are many. None have done that. Marthas Vinyard and the expulsion of illegals is an example what Prog truly are. Talkers. Not walkers except to promote discord among people.
