You anti gunners need a constitutional lesson

I think that the 2A protects individual gun rights - to a point. I don't think things like enhanced background checks, waiting periods, assault weapons restrictions, or other restrictions are inherently violative of the Constitution and state governments have had laws on the books restricting firearms ownership in one form or another since not long after the country's founding. This Court, as it has shown a propensity to do in other cases, took an extreme viewpoint on 2A gun rights.
Restrictions is an infringement
Waiting periods is an infringement
Background checks with must issue clause acceptable
No such thing as gun laws existing at the beginning of the country.

Mississippi and Louisiana have the highest per capita murder rates among the 50 states and it's been that way for a long time. Neither state has particularly large cities. The problem now, as it has been for 2 centuries, is a culture that promotes racial inequality, economic inequality, guns, and religion over education and being kind and neighborly regardless of differences.
Cities run by democrat mayors

It's an inconvenience, for the sake of ensuring public safety.

Waiting periods is an infringement

See the above.

There were gun laws almost as soon as people established colonies here, from requiring at least one adult in the household to keep a firearm in the house to laws regulating the storage of firearms and prohibiting their transfer or sale to Blacks.

In states run by republicans with a long history of racial discrimination and terrible education, but with loose firearms laws. Again, Southern violence has always been worse than the crowded Northeastern U.S. - always. Since the early 19th Century.

The biggest cities have been run by democrats for decades……in other threads we have listed the decades that democrats have controlled those cities……trying to hide that fact by blaming the state as opposed to the cities controlled poles by democrats is simply the he typical dishonesty by people like you

Just a taste….Jackson, Mississippi? Run by democrats since 1901…….and the two largest cities in Louisiana? Democrat controlled since just after the Civil War…….

You don’t understand this issue

In pro-slavery states without any education. Sure, you put more impoverished, uneducated people with guns together and violence is gonna happen. There are many cities that are more crowded that don't have the violence that Jackson, MS or New Orleans, Shreveport, or Baton Rouge, LA does.

Cities have their own ordinance and control police policies

They are now.
Unless those who support them - that is, the federal and state government - can demonstrate that the regulation is consistent with this Nation’s historical tradition of firearm regulation.
Good luck with that.

And following your logic and what you believe, Poll Taxes and LIteracy tests for voting wouldn't be violative of the Constitution either......you anti-gun fascists are not very bright...

Yep......gun laws are still racist today.......and gun laws are meant to keep guns out of the hands of normal people...........criminals ignore them, so when people like you make new gun laws, they are always targeted at people who don't use guns for crime...

The slave states were democrat party controlled states.....and the shitholes today are democrat party shitholes.......
