Sure Trump is awful.
He is selfish, greedy, impulsive, etc.
But the problem is that everyone else in politics is lying in order to murder half a million innocent Iraqis, borrowing trillions for weapons to give to the Ukraine, putting millions in prison for smoking pot, etc.

It is just a question of who will cause the least harm, and Trump only does small temporary things.

Security Conservatives have had to defend a president who has undermined NATO and cozied up to our enemies if they say nice things about him.
Family values conservatives have had to defend a guy who cheated on all three of his wives and paid hush money to porn stars.
Law and Order Conservatives have to defend a guy who pleads the fifth on a simple tax case.
Fiscal Conservatives have to defend a guy who ran up 8 Trillion in new Debt in four years.
Economic Conservatives have to defend a guy who was the first president since Hoover to lose jobs.

In short, the only thing you have is a party that just can't admit it made a mistake.

The problem with Trump is that he IS facing criminal charges on three fronts.

1) His mishandling of classified documents.
2) His complicity in the January 6 insurrection.
3) His tax fraud in New York State.

Congress can't stop the AG and the courts from trying Trump for crimes if you have evidence of, you know, actual crimes.

And all 3 of those charges are so completely corrupt, that I am forced now to support Trump, even though I would prefer a leftist, liberal, progressive.
