I served alongside NATO forces in Afghanistan. Aside from the Brits, they were all functionally worthless. The Italian Alpini battalion I served with was particularly useless. They refused to participate in pretty much every operation my brigade ever asked them to participate in, and could do literally nothing without "Rome's approval," which was rarely given. They were there as figureheads, and nothing else. They did, however, have a magnificent field bakery and they regularly flew in antipasti that was to die for while we Americans were eating tray rats.

You know who WERE great combat allies? The then non-NATO countries like Romania and Lithuania. Those guys kicked a$$. You could really count on them in combat.

When I lived in Europe, it seemed to me most the people were genuinely scared of Russia, yet they don’t take military preparedness seriously. They just expect the US to do everything for them I guess should shit really go down again.

The question is, if and when war comes to Europe again, will Americans be willing to send troops there? As our nation and military become more “brown”, are they really going to send their brown children to defend white Europeans from other white Europeans? Just look at how the radical left is reacting to the Israel Hamas situation. They now hate Jews because they see them as white “occupiers“.
