A number of things went wrong, including his lack of understanding of basic gun safety! A firearm is inanimate object. But you gotta understand every type of them. You don’t have to pull a trigger for a gun to go off. Pull the hammer back on many older single action/double action pistols and let the hammer loose it will shoot. I think that’s what happened, ultimately because of lack of basic firearm training he caused this.
