Other than lip service and token legislation that either hands out crumbs or doesn't solve anything.
Hillary Clinton lost primarily because these "workers" you refer to knew damn well that the Obama admin had ignored them just like the rest of the party did. So they voted for a guy who said all the right things.
There is NO ONE is Washington looking out for ANYONE other than themselves, their bank accounts and what they can do to further their investments.
NO ONE.

"Mandatory healthcare for employers... a fantastic lie. I lost my healthcare when Obamacare passed, because Obamacare made insurance absolutely unaffordable for small businesses. Smaller companies everywhere dropped their coverage for employees because it raised the cost to the moon. SECOND - Obamacare turned what used to be catastrophic care - into the new healthcare. Obamacare raised deductions to the point that all people have in their possession is a useless plastic card. With $5,000 - $7,000 deductibles - you do not have healthcare coverage. You have catastrophic care but now it cost 10 times as much.
Increasing minimum wage. No one is paying minimum wage. A company can't exist paying min. wage. You show me who is paying $7.25 an hour. No one is. McDonalds here starts out at $10. Lowes pays $11 etc. etc. etc.
Workplace safety... what legislation?
Labor protections... what legislation?
Protecting collective bargaining... you mean forcing people to pay for a union that does nothing is "protecting collective bargaining"?

The Republican Party? They are placemats. Ghost. Do nothings. Fearful little creatures that every once in a while peep out from under the holes they live in to say "Democrats are bad!! - GRR!".... and that pretty much defines who the Republican Party is for the past 10 years.
