It's a lot more simplistic to assume that the various agencies of the government are there to protect you. The FDA and EPA tend to be revolving doors for Big Agro, Big Pharma, and energy companies, for example.

Most of the regulatory bodies in government are run by people who have vested financial interests in the industries they're tasked with regulating. Many leave their positions in government for executive positions in the affected companies.

Neighboring Alexandria VA has 705 listings!

Most all are concentrated where NOtVA transplants moved in during their remote work run.....I stopped counting at 60, which is a lot of homes for sale in my small county.

This time last year you were lucky to see a half dozen homes up for sale for months at a time. I was keeping an eye on it then due to getting my mom's house ready to sell.
