It's going to have to be more technical than that. The Chinese commies knew it would hit America's elderly and obese much harder than thinner Asians. The location on the spike of the virus that locks onto fatty acids is at 408-9. These locations implicate arginine (R) and glutamine (Q).
 
BMI is a very flawed tool for measuring fatness. Obesity doesn’t necessarily mean fat.
Actually from a medical science standpoint, obesity is a condition in which the patient has an excess amount of adipose tissue that is a threat to their health.

BMI does not measure that. It's a thoroughly debunked pseudoscientific theory from the early 19th century. But it was revived by greedy special interest groups.
