So everyone got to vote?

I think so. There is like 5 or 6 stations you have to go through before you get to the voting booth. I was the first station. I do know a few people were told this wasn't their precinct and that there was still time for them to go to theirs and they were given directions. They were also told if they felt they couldn't make it there, that they could vote here.

I found that to be strange. Because within our precinct, our booths were divided by neighborhoods and it was a big no-no if you let someone from a different neighborhood, vote in your booth.

There was also a couple of people who were told if they didn't stop disturbing the staff and other pollsters, that they would not be able to vote and would be removed by the local authorities if they persisted.

There was about a dozen people who complained (and got on my case) because I didn't immediately ask to see someones ID. If they had the ballot that was mailed to them and they were on the roll, I just had them sign their name. Some of them went, "That's not right, man! That's not right!" One guy showed me his ID anyway and demanded I look at it.

I was there from 6am - 10pm and only got a $140 for the day. One guy had it worse. After all the votes were counted and stacked.......you won't believe the process that was............ one of us had to ride down to the collection center with the precinct administrator. That guy probably didn't get home until 11:30pm.

That's a day I'll never forget.

provisional ballots are later deemed valid or invalid by election board officials. When you fill out a provisional ballot there is a chance it won't be counted.

Maybe since most pollsters probably don't look at ID's good enough, the best way to get a handle on voter fraud which is no doubt rampant, each voter should have to undergo a thumb or eye scan when casting their vote. Also databases should be connected all across the U.S. to ensure people aren't voting multiple times using numerous addresses.

So, you plan on paying for the resources to pay the labor to collect all those retina scan images or thumbprints? Are you going to pay for the database to house the data? Will you pay for the attorney's and security to keep the information out of the hands of the government?

So when a person loses his card, doesn't get his card or is not on the roll to have registered for a card, then they get a provisional ballot. I have never needed a provisional ballot.

If a person lost his mailed ballot or did not have it with him, he had to sign another roll stating he was were surrendering the mailed ballot. He then got a provisional ballot and was allowed to vote. If he had his ballot with him, but it was damaged, he had to surrender that ballot and was given another one.

Our precinct had 600 ballots total. We could not leave until all 600 ballots were accounted for. When the ballots are counted, they are put into 5 different stacks. The "red" stack, which is the first stack, is ballots with no errors. The second stack, was ballots where the pollster changed their mind and had punched two different candidates. I forget what we did when they told us which one to count. It was just the box with errors no.1. There were two other boxes with different type errors.

The 5th box, was the pain in the ass, box. That was the non-used ballots box. That required math. Each neighborhood had to count their other 4 boxes and count the signatures on the rolls for those boxes, over and over and over again, until our non-used ballots, collectively, when added to the other 4 boxes, collectively, added up to exactly 600 ballots. That had to match or we couldn't go home.

It took us 8 try's before we finally matched.

Why doesn't the states go to mail in ballots, such as the state of Washington. Every voter gets one ballot and all are counted.

That's actually a better way to do it.

How about we require a simple government issued photo ID? We already provide ID to cash checks, buy alcohol, acquire loans, and for those so inclined, to pick up our government welfare checks. Theoretically, we should provide appropriate birth certificate or other bona fides in order to get a driver's license.
Since proper ID is not required in many places, showing voter fraud might prove a tad difficult.
Oh, I agree, I don't want this government to have any more bio-metric information about me than they do now. Unfortunately, they have had my fingerprints for many years.
