On Andy Griffith they said "Lake Loons" to help Barney get back to campWe had a few mornings up here on the tree ranch that had a real rarity: loon parties.
Loons are normally territorial and loners, with only singles and permanent nesting pairs normally seen...But on rare occasions they join up and have little parties on a select lake, where as many as a dozen get together for a short while and get all super social and frolic about.
These weren't the ones on our lake...The images are somewhat rare to find...
