Worst Prime Minister of Canada in your opinion.

Begging the question.

Brian Mulroney. Worst Prime Minister in my lifetime. Dumber than a sack of hammers.

Mulroney suffered from an inferiority complex, following one of the best Prime Minister’s in history, Pierre Elliott Trudeau.

Trudeau repatriated and reformed Canada’s Constitution, and Mulrooney immediately sat out to amend it and make his mark on history. He spent both of his terms trying to bring Quebec into the Constitution and failed on both occasions.

Mulroney negotiated and signed the free trade deal with the USA, gifting Canadians with a much hated federal 8% value added tax as be part of the Free Trade Deal. The GST. It still lives today.

Canadians responded to Mulroney’s gift by wiping out the party in the next election. Reduced to two seats. They lost their offices in the Parliament buildings and were forced to amalgamate with the Western rump Reform Party to form todays Conservative Party.

Trudeau the younger? He managed the pandemic with 1/3 of the death or disease of the USA, saving lives, and the Canadian economy. Trudeau reduce poverty rate in Canada from 15% to 6%.

And did I mention that Trudeau renegotiated the free trade deal with Donald Trump, and for the first time in our history, we enjoy a massive trade surplus with USA.
