There is nothing to worry about. The duopoly will continue as always. Promises are things used to maintain power. Making the same ones over and over avoids having to find new ones. Arguing over the details of which promises to delay serves the divisive duality very well and will not be abandoned.

If the dems take the House, all bets are off, its hang on until the Impeachments start.

If the Republicans keep the House they will have a very small majority, so Mike Johnson will need to do his best "herding cats" to pass anything.

The only promises Trump can keep are the ones he can do by Exec Order, like the wall, border security, fixing the "woke" military, routine deportations if the House passes HR-2. Can he negotiate peace in Ukraine? Can he stop the war in Gaza? Will he start Trade Wars? We'll see.
