Zone1 Women should check to see whether or not if they are being treated equally in the social security outcome for retirement.

Youre asking other hard working people to pay for the mistakes of another out of their pockets
The solution to gender discrimination is a law suit.
Ahhh just go give your illegals what they need, and hey just take it out of my money without me agreeing to it. Just give Zelensky what he needs and take that out of my pay also, and take college kids money for their loans out of my pay because they are so frail and weak in life while living in mom's basement.

Why don't you argue with the Demobots about all the bull chit they've pulled, but noooo you want to weakened Republicans down to the level of poverty with excuses, while in the past you let the dems get away with murder.

Like what SS is based only on your contributions everyone has the same standard
The contributions thing is where possibly the corruption and voo doo math lay, and this is because the system is highly volatile due to various factors that no one has the proper intelligence or organizational skills that can explain the why in everything that has gone on.

It should only be based on their income and contributions to the system, same as men.
Nope, it should be based on year's worked only. Every year worked should have been accruing money that a percentage of it would go towards men and women's social security retirement incomes equally.

No one is complaining about people making more money in fields than others where discrimination isn't involved, but say if a janitor works the same amount of year's as a judge, then both should have the same amount of money applied to their social security retirement plan for that year. Both the judge and the janitor are needed to make the wheel go around in order to make America America. If the judge make $140,000 dollar's that year then so be it, and if the janitor makes $40,000 dollars that year then so be it, but a formula can be worked out where the judge and the janitor can receive equal amounts on their social security checks if worked the same amount of year's come retirement.

What do you not understand. You pay a FICA tax.6.02. Your employer matches it. 12.04 Total.
That money goes directly to pay those collecting today.
There is no fund or account with money in it.
There is surplus that goes into the government as a treasury bill. They spend it and repay the Bill with interest.
The surplus gets smaller every year because more people are collecting and living longer.

The problem is there is no internal investment to pay for increases in future expenses.
Thats called a Ponzi.

If we apply the time use of money your return in SS would be about 1% of your taxes paid.
Do think that sucks? Youre right.

In all fairness you get disability but you must be 100% disabled.

I explained how it works in another reply. You dont understand there is no money to accrue. There is no fund. The money is spent as soon as you pay the tax

Where do you think the money comes from? Working people today

Rework the system to make all the problems dissipate, but nope you want to keep with the status quo why ?????

You say mistakes, but can you really call every case mistakes ? Nope, but that is the talk of what might be a government official trying to keep with the status quo.

Change the system..

The only way to do that is to tax everyone else for that money. That makes no sense because now everyone pays more taxes.
A better solution is the janitor has an employer pension and wisely invests a small amount of money in Vanguard Market Index fund.

They should not make the same the judge has college degree that cost a lot of money. I dont think mop school costs that much

Change the system..
End the system and mandate you have your own retirement.
What you also need to understand is think of all the money you paid. $6.02 out of your lifes wages. How much is their when you die? Zero
When you have a private or employer pension thats your money you leave it to your family

You say mistakes, but can you really call every case mistakes ? Nope, but that is the talk of what might be a government official trying to keep with the status quo.
If you want to depend on the government you deserve to be poor

I want SS to end and let people create their own retirement. SS actually keeps you poor by cutting your wages by 12%

False women make the same as men in the same job. Women get more SS because the live longer.
Women often do make less than men for the same job. I spent a career working for a Union TELCO. Despite holding the same job titles and pay scales, almost none of the women made the same pay as men. Men generally would work any available overtime while women generally refused. Management refused to apply the rules against women when mandatory overtime was required as women tended to go to the EEOC with complaints for forced overtime. If women in a Union shop make less than men, it indicates a society wide trend that results in lower pay for women. It's caused by women's conduct and choices, NOT some conspiracy to pay women less. Heck, businesses are in business to make money, if they could get away with paying women less to do the same work as men, they would hire women by choice and lower their payroll and increase the bottom-line profits.

Ok, how so if the wife is like $500+ less than mine ? She worked the same amount of years as me (maybe more), and her job's were more in the technical fields but still highly useful in the entire scheme of thing's. I just felt sorry for her, because I felt that she deserved the same as I had gotten once pulled the trigger.

People at the lower end of the scale get more per dollar of contribution than people higher on the scale.

I just felt sorry for her, because I felt that she deserved the same as I had gotten once pulled the trigger.

Yeah, math and logic make some people sad.

Not saying they should make the same amounts as if we are communist or socialist at large, but I'm just saying that the government run social security program could be run better if it's going to be a program that attempts to retire all American worker's without the worker (he or she working the time out equally), to then fall into poverty in regards to another because the money drops so low for the retiree (who worked and contributed his or her loyalty to America's experiment), and with the same amount of courage and tenacity as the next American did, otherwise regardless of the disparities in pay where each recipient is to be taking care of equally in the social security system of retirement for the American citizens who put in the year's in equally together, then they both should be ok when get the retirement check and use it wisely.

You act as if the government has a crystal ball, and could tell if the money on the scales were actually earned honestly by the recipient's or not..... If they earnestly don't know, then how has their formula been accurate ? They only know what is reported, but this is why year's worked and time served should not be judged on numbers alone. Many factors should be considered into the formula, but numbers are the best eh ? Is this because numbers can be manipulated over the year's causing serious miscalculation and unfairness when one is taken care of while the other suffers seriously due to the numbers running to low ??
Is this system an "I got mine, and you go to hell if you haven't gotten your's" type of thing ?

Do you think that a janitor is not as worthy in the eyes of God as say a tax collector might be ? Think about it.

Got no issue with that, otherwise the HSA idea should have been started year's ago also, but here we are enjoying that program's creation that turned out to be a good thing so far.

That's one of the dumber things I've ever heard.

and could tell if the money on the scales were actually earned honestly by the recipient's or not.

Math doesn't care.

but this is why year's worked and time served should not be judged on numbers alone.

Math doesn't care about your feelings.

Is this system an "I got mine, and you go to hell if you haven't gotten your's" type of thing ?

It's a math type of thing.

Do you think that a janitor is not as worthy in the eyes of God as say a tax collector might be ?

God doesn't run the Social Security system.

Think about it

I think you're taking your wife's estrogen.
