Withheld satellite internet service to Kyiv to thwart attack on Russia navy fleet: Elon Musk

except that the Russians can't mount that kind of counter offensive.
If the US decided to bring in enough navel forces into the black sea, to destroy the entire Russia navy there?

It isn't going to do in secret. The Russians have satellites too, they will see what is going on.

And the US isn't going to do so by surprise.

There will be a massive navel battle.

Currently, it is pretty well know, that the Russians are holding A LOT of their strategic weaponry in reserve, in case NATO forces do get involved, so a navel battle in the Black Sea, won't be as one sided as we may believe. . .

And yes, that will kick off WWIII.

The Russians will most certainly start to launch nukes, don't be naive.

Probably the first to go, will be some tactical nukes from their nuclear subs off of the coasts of our navel bases, and the navel bases of our allies in retaliation, to destroy the rest of our navy, and the navies of the rest of NATO.

At that point, the US will launch ours, then they will launch their strategic nukes, and that will be the end.

Wise up. . . what are you, a teenager?

The comparison is exactly that.

Using the "Protection of people in other countries" as a justification for war.

Hitler was a Germanic nationalist. It wasn't about German people, it was about Germanic people. It helped him to justify invading the Czechs, annexing Austria and the like.

You don't remember a naval base in Poland. Oh, well.. I suppose naval bases are people these days.

What would happen to NATO? Probably what would happen is this.

Putin would take the Ukraine.

The Ukraine was the 5th largest grain exporter in the world, behind the Russia, Australia, the US and Canada.

Instead of Russia being number one by 2 million tonnes, it'd put them ahead by 21 million tonnes. That's the amount 4th placed Canada produces. That would give Russia a lot more power. Food security is something essential in this changing world.

"In 2019, Russia and Ukraine together exported more than a quarter (25.4 percent) of the world’s wheat, according to the Observatory of Economic Complexity (OEC)."

Imagine, in 2011 the Arab Spring started.

Russia sold 4.5 million tons of cereals. That was down from 21 million tons the year before. 1/4 of what they exported. Why? Because Russia didn't have enough cereals to sell because the crops weren't good that year. Same for the Ukraine.

The result. Three governments overthrown in the Arab world, Tunisia, Egypt and Yemen. Egypt was an ally of the US, and since then hasn't been.

With Russia controlling 25% of wheat exports, they can do a lot. Australia, the US and Canada have a larger portion of that. If global warming continues in the way it has, I'd expect Australia to suffer first.

Say for example, the US and Canada suffer and 1930s style drought that reduces the ability to produce enough for export. Then everyone's relying on Russia and the Ukraine and Australia. That's going to put Russia in a huge advantage.

Beyond that, you have the treat to other countries. Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan are under threat. Georgia because Russia hates Georgia, it's already made Georgia lose territory. Azerbaijan has loads of oils.

Then you have the -stan countries that were part of the USSR.

Then you have Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, part of the USSR, now part of NATO and EU.

If Russia goes for that, then there's war.

So, either the US tries to stop Russia now, or it waits and waits and it gets worse as Russia gets more and more powerful.

Also China is getting more and more powerful. The threat to Japan and South Korea after Taiwan has been invaded. If the US loses those allies, then what?
Well. . . The history of Prussia is sort of, rather complex, isn't it?

Why would they ever do that? It does not even make any kind of tactical sense at all. So long as the fleet is in the Black Sea, it is almost completely insignificant and can easily be destroyed by land based aircraft without bringing any US ships even close to the area. We do regularly transit the area, but that is about it. Like we transit many other sea areas to simply show that it is International water. And we never took our carriers there, the largest group I can think of that we ever sent there was a Cruiser and a Destroyer.

It's obvious that you do not know much about military tactics and strategy. The entire Black Sea Fleet is composed of 5 frigates, 8 corvettes, and 7 Cold War design diesel submarines. That is not even a significant threat to shore installations let alone anything else. Far better to just remain on the other side of the Straight and keep them bottled up inside there if it came to it.

And I have to absolutely laugh, that you think that force facing off against the US Navy would be a "massive battle". To give an idea, of the remaining ships in the Russian Black Sea Fleet, their largest ships are frigates. That is a ship class the US has not even had for almost a decade, the smallest ships in our current fleet are Destroyers. The largest ship and former flagship of that fleet was the Moskva, but that has become an artificial reef.

Look at how many nations in the last 3 decades that Russia has attacked, then annexed part of their territory.

It is almost exactly like what Hitler did.
If you asked any Russian, is this the narrative they would tell you?

Or is the spin you are placing on it?

If you asked Mexico, Texas attacked them, and took some of their territory.

. . . truth? Often depends upon one's point of view.

Oh, Smedley Butler is well known to me.

A career politician that was conned by a salesman that there would be a coup and if he assisted he would become one of the most powerful men in the nation.

The guy had already been pushed out of the Marines before then because his dedication was to politics much more than the military. Congress actually looked into his charges, and found absolutely no evidence that any of his claims were ever real. Add to that his repeated claims that Mussolini had killed a child in a hit and run accident which resulted in his almost being Court Martialed. And then his failed senate campaign, his failed attempts to gain political appointments like in Oregon, and most were questioning his sanity.

There is a reason why he moved in with his daughter after that and spent the rest of his life isolated from the public. Most had been questioning his mental stability even before that fake plot. Every Marine knows who he was and what he did. And the opinion is also almost universal that he kinda went crazy towards the end of his career, and was lashing out at almost anybody who he thought had kept him from his rightful position as Commandant.

Wow, Mushroom just outed himself as a fascist himself. Look at this shit;

Add to that his repeated claims that Mussolini had killed a child in a hit and run accident which resulted in his almost being Court Martialed.
". . . At the time of his death, Butler was the most decorated Marine in U.S. history. By the end of his career, Butler had received sixteen medals, including five for heroism; he is the only Marine to be awarded the Brevet Medal as well as two Medals of Honor, all for separate actions. . . . "

Noted FAMOUS American Socialist/Muck Raking Journalist, George Seldes, who stood against our own corporatist press, who was the one that exposed the truth about Mussolini. . . ???

You Can't Print That

(Interview from George himself, bookmarked at timestamp)

And this fascist we're arguing with? Is still spreading the lies about America to tell folks we should go to war? What the actual fuck? Maybe he is an Azov disinfo agent? :dunno:
