With The US Penny Now Gone How Long Until America Reaches The Digital Age?

Umm okay. You do remember that I was in special education right?

And she doesn't mean as an educator...

Sorry CK, I couldn't resist... Please take it with the humor intended. There is no malice in my comment.

You're being nice to me? 😮 That's a change but it's okay I understand. :)

The penny was phased out because it's almost a negligible amount of money at this point. Also I'm pretty sure they cost more to make than they are actually worth.

That's the actual reason. The only reason the penny was phased out is that it costs more than 1¢ to make a penny now so the government is actually losing money making them.

I try to be nice all the time... well, sort of nice anyway. At the very least I hold no malice or grudge against anyone...

Oh. I apologize for underestimating you then.

Now that it cost over 15 cents to make a Nickle that can't buy anything except a mb of data transmission or a text message, but nothing tangible or even a kw of electricity. Trump will soon stop the US from minting them also.

This will effectively remove a whole decimal point from the currency. Making $100 bill a $10 bill. A $10 is now a $1 & a dime is the new penny.

Trump's Covid Stimulus Money Printing & Ending the Penny has already got US half way there.
