Water conservation efforts are important and vital to the future of our lives. Having a toilet flush at 2.5 gallons or higher per flush versus a newer toilet that flushes at 1.5 gallons or less per flush really really adds up over time especially for households with families. My husband and I have a composting toilet in our home instead of a traditional toilet which is obviously even better for water conservation than water efficient toilets but i'm not advocating for everybody to make that jump just yet. It's easy to see environmental efforts like that as an inconvenience or a joke but potable water is finite resource and is more important for our lives than any of our electronics and creature comforts that we use and interact with every day in my opinion.

There are many people who need to flush twice at least. And on another note....for the virus we are supposed to wash our hands for 20 seconds. And most people use warm/hot water. So water is wasted and more energy is used to heat the water for washing hands.

it's about regulations that are supposedly for environmental aid, but end up just really being about lowering the quality of service we get from the items.

Look up the idiotic new "regulated" gas cans that don't dispense gas without fitting it perfectly and forcefully into whatever receptacle you are adding gas to.
