Will you accept the election results regardless of who wins?

It’s time for Americans to grow up and accept the reality that your favorite candidate isn’t always going to win. We’re a nation of sore losers who will only accept the results that we like and claim that the election is rigged when our side doesn’t win.

Stop it.

I trust our democratic process and I will accept the results of the election regardless of who wins. Will you? A or B.

Belief in whether or not a presidential candidate wins or loses is reliant on faith.

Right. And surely it must be a magical coincidence that you’ve only ever questioned Democrat wins, never Republican victories.

You lack self-awareness, B.

If Trump wins, you will consider it legitimate. If Kamala wins, you will once again question the legitimacy because that’s what you do.

I’ll see how partisans on all sides behave from now until there is an official winner to form my opinion on the fairness of the election.

No you didn’t.

Which Republican victory did you question the legitimacy of?

Go ahead and answer. You won’t.
What Republican win was in question? Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan, Bush 41 all won in landslides. The only one that was close was in 2000 and there was no question of legitimacy in that one, just a question of the count. I thought the recount illegitimate because Gore only wanted recounts in three heavily populated mostly Democrat counties instead of all Florida counties. SCOTUS finally had to step in and stop the ridiculous evaluation of dimples and hanging chads. GWB was awarded the win based on the reported vote, but the recount continued just the same and the result was that GWB won fair and square.

In 2016 Clinton did not demand recounts but Jill Stein did. None of the recounts resulted in any significant or meaningful changes in the totals. Trump won fair and square.

As for 2000, I don't know if Biden won fair and square. Nobody does as most of the evidence was destroyed or compromised and there was insufficient time to complete the audits before the constitutionally required date for certification. I have defended Pence in his decision to certify that election as there was no constitutional provision for him to not do so once Congress had voted. I have never said Biden was an illegitimate President.

I do believe the Democrats massively cheated in that election giving strong reasons for Americans to distrust the results of that election and to be worried about the one next month.

It shouldn't be though. The laws, system and process of registration, voting, chain of custody and tallying the vote should be made as tamper proof as possible with oversight by all interested parties so that the American people can again have reasonable confidence in the authenticity of their elections.

It is as tamper proof as possible.

The problem is that we have a nation of sore loser crybabies who are going to whine that it was rigged just because their side didn’t win.

People like you.

So you never once questioned the legitimacy of a Republican who won.

Like I said.
No reason to question it as there hasn't been any question by either side. Nor have I questioned the legitimacy of any Democrat win until 2020. Anybody who doesn't question the legitimacy of that election has a screw loose. So for 2020 I am in the I don't know if it was legitimate crowd. It is a very large crowd. But is Biden the legitimate President? Yes. Once the states have certified their elections and Congress has voted, it's a done deal no matter how much cheating might have occurred to get a person to the top.

And because the Democrats have fought so hard against any reforms in the system and processes that would reassure Americans that our elections are legitimate, there may be problems next month too.

Okay with that statement you indicate either being dumb as a rock or deliberately dishonest. Nobody and I do mean nobody with ability to think at all can say our elections are as tamper proof as possible. If they were, Democrats wouldn't be fighting as hard as they do to prevent making them as tamper proof as possible.

And I am now kicking in my New Year's resolution to not feed the trolls, argue with idiots or engage in other exercises of futility. Do have a nice afternoon.

Accept: believe that the person who wins the presidency legitimately won the election.
I will accept that by the Constitution the person inaugurated is the president. Should there be countless statistical anomalies as there were in 2020 I may not accept how it occurred.

So I was accurate when I said that you have never questioned the legitimacy of Republicans who won, only Democrats.

Great. Glad you finally got caught up.
