My post :
"He was 100% wrong. NFW we need to send US troops there."
Was regarding FDR's quote.

Your post looks to be regarding BiBi and Trump's press conference yesterday?
The short answer is obviously that it is not the right thing to do. Which is why the Saudis and Qataris pulled funding until the Pals can find a new homeland. So Trump needs to table his Paradise plans for Gaza.

What’s truly laughable here is that you actually think that Bibi Trump can decide what to do all by themselves or that the rest of the world and the Palestinians are simply going to go “yeah let’s do that”.

Or that what is being proposed isn’t ethnic cleansing and a war crime.

And in the USA, egg prices are over $8 a dozen.

They voluntarily leave. If they don't, you bomb the crap out of the rest of the buildings. Shouldn't take more than a couple of days.
Never happen. The IDF tried that already

A better solution is to have the Arabs hire a few big construction firms and to start building apartment complexes on barren land that wasn't bombed. After people move out of the rubble the building demolition and bomb disposal can happen. Not sure if private firms do bomb disposal or if military experts would be needed?? If Hamas kills any workers that's it all done.

Trump won in 2024 with America First, no wars, and fiscal responsibility.

Two weeks in Trump is talking about an expensive "Iron Dome" system ("Reagan's "Star Wars" on steroids), buying Greenland, buying Gaza and sending US troops in to oust Hamas and "nation-build" a new Gaza, a 15-year commitment, at least.

Biden's 13 dead in AFG, will look tiny compared to the Stalingrad type battle US troops would face in Gaza. Hamas will be hard to remove, the IDF can't do it.

So lets say that Trump sends US troops to Gaza, what will US voters do in 2026 to send Trump a message?
You guys just have no clue. Trump is being a bully in order to better things in the Middle East, particularly in Israel. We aren't sending any troops. But, the threat will help Israel get rid of Hamas.

The IDF surely can do it.
Just take off the gloves.

Depends in what Trump lets those troops do.
Hunt Hamas alongside the IDF?
GOP will pick up seats in both the house and senate.

Problem is no one wants the crazy Pals,
This is the real problem.
Gaza would depopulate itself if Egypt / Jordan opened their borders and granted citizenship.
so Gaza will be a Stalingrad style killing zone for US soldiers.
How many soldiers have the Israelis lost?
Pals know all the Israeli bombs dropped on Gaza were US bombs
Israelis know Hamas, et al, want to destroy them.

The IDF hasn't made a dent in Hamas so far. They just keep making more, there are 2,000,000 Gazans that support Hamas

I tend to disagree with US troops in Gaza. Its not our fight. Trump ran on no more wars.
A battle in Gaza would be like Stalingrad, a killing field for US soldiers. Gaza is not our fight. Let the Arabs handle it.

1. No ME country wants anything to do with Gazans.

2. The IDF lost 844 in Gaza and counting. Its a stupid idea to send US troops into that mess.

3. True, Gazans consider Israelis "occupiers" and want them gone, i.e. "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free".

Wow, that is some kind of fever dream!

It will be a sausage grinder for American soldiers

Quantify this.
How many soldiers have the IDF lost?
1. You see a lot of them at hostage turnovers and battling the IDF
2. 844 and counting in a few months, Hamas will not leave Gaza voluntarily, many men will take up arms.

See post#71.

1. No ME country wants anything to do with Gazans.
Gee. Why do you suppose that is?
2. The IDF lost 844 in Gaza and counting. Its a stupid idea to send US troops into that mess.
844 KIA over 14 months in in mostly city fighting, with a difficult ROE.
You think that's a lot? A "meat grinder"? "Stalingrad"?
3. True, Gazans consider Israelis "occupiers" and want them gone, i.e. "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free".
Replace "Gazans" with "Palestinians" and you're more correct.
it is impossible for the Israelis to meaningfully negotiate with an enemy whose only goal is to completely destroy them.
