Will Pam Bondi Prosecute Michael Byrd For Murder?

You shouldn't break into someone elses house.

Most of us know this.
Are you trying to argue Castle Doctrine on public property? or is the issue that you don't realize the Capitol Building is public property?

Of course she won't. Get a grip on reality. No grand jury is going to indict him for doing the one job he is asked to do.
what's the difference between Byrd and Derek Chauvin?

they both ignored their training and caused the death of someone.

why shouldn't they receive the same punishment?

I don't think she can. Pulling his weapon and firing may have been a bit extreme. But there was no question that the crowd had worked themselves up into a frenzy at that point and it was hard to say what was about to happen should they make entry.
I don't like what happened but I'm not comfortable with removing an officer's right to use lethal force in situations like that.

When you start out that unbelievably, incredibly wrong, it's hard to recover.

You didn't get close anyway. Everything in your post is poorly thought out and wrong. Every word. And not just a little wrong. Really, really wrong. Almost like you were trying to be wrong.

you succeeded

I am curious what you think he should have done, to stop a violent mob at a choke point. Shooting her no doubt saved a lot of the insurrectionists' lives. They stream through that door, and he empties his mag.

What's the Statute of Limitations on Murder??

That's what I thought.

I think Trump and Bondi want to move future political trials to Florida. I think it can happen. I think it WILL happen.

Let's see how dimocrap scum like standing trial without a Home Court Advantage.

I think they get around to prosecuting Byrd in due time but I will admit that this might be where what I want interferes with my perception of reality.

OTOH, I think OMB pardons all the J6 protesters on Day 1. For him to follow up with the prosecution of the murdering scumbag Byrd would be appropriate. IMHO, if he doesn't, he will lose a lot of support in the MAGA community. Not that he needs it but......

I also think Veterans groups want him prosecuted as well as Active Duty types. We'll see but I'd bet a beer he gets prosecuted.

What he did was murder through and through. period Just plain, old-fashioned, hateful, vindictive murder.
You do know Biden is going to pardon everyone including himself.

Doors were closed and locked, a violent mob of Trump supporters was doing something that had never been done before (maybe in 1814, not sure) and this violent mob of thugs were breaking down doors and attempting to murder lawmakers.

All of these thugs on this day could have been shot and killed legally.

Because you're too stupid to realize the ridiculousness of admonishing me for something you and frail white Republicans engaged in.
.

Keep trying, ******.

It's going to be a long four years for you.

Using DC's own handbook, Byrd is guilty of murder. Nowhere and at no time does he follow the rules of his very own handbook.

Yeah, she was just standing there in a tour line and the black guy ran up from out of nowhere and shot her.

Everyone around her was standing there too, just checking their phones 'n stuff. Boy, were they shocked!

Otherwise, a pretty typical, boring day at the Capitol Building.

Didn't you know that?

:dunno:
Yea, I actually think some of these loons actually believe she was just a tourist, along with all the tourists trying to break down the doors to reach lawmakers in fear for their lives.

Is Byrd charged with a crime?? Don't you have to be charged with and/or found guilty of a crime before a pardon can be granted?

Or can a POTUS just pre-emptively pardon anyone for any possible crime whether in the past, present or future?

Enquiring Minds.................

"a bit extreme" ??? Did you see the video of what happened? There's was absolutely no threat of imminent death or great bodily harm when that officer shot Ms. Babbit. Using a non-lethal would have been justified, physically restraining her would have been justified but in no way, shape or form was deadly force justified.

The guy needs to be prosecuted for manslaughter, he screwed up and he needs to be held accountable just like every other police officer or civilian in the same situation would. The Capitol Building isn't some sacred temple where the law and common sense are magically suspended regardless of how fervently our politicians try to convince us that they are.

That's the kind of thing they're told, and despite a massive amount of contrary information available to them, they just believe it.

Their little world is comfy, they like what they're told, and that's that.
