But, if he couldn't win with even minimal GOP help, then maybe he really was just a paper tiger.

Somehow though, I think that is inaccurate! The DNC had internal polls telling things that they did not want to hear, so they pulled the trigger on screwing Bernie.

To be totally honest, I think this whole exercise was about California. They knew with everyone in the race there was a decent chance that nobody but Bernie would be viable with 15%, meaning Bernie would get all, or almost all of the delegates, and that lead would almost certainly get him to a brokered convention with a plurality.

They MUST have a decent excuse to NOT nominate Bernie and keep as many of his supporters on board that they can, so they can NOT let him be leading when they get to the convention if it is brokered, or have him win it outright.

This was plan B, or maybe C. So far, it has worked!
