Zone1 Will I go to hell?

to ascribe the heavens would kill all but 2 of each example of living creatures to rid earth of human sinners is a sin in of itself - an example of why desert dwellers behave as they do, deceivers in perpetuity.
And yet we do it still today. Infected animals are routinely 'exterminated' for the good of future animals. Right now we are killing millions of chickens and turkeys because of avian flu. In Noah's day even the soil was corrupted, probably by the widespread presence of swine.

The Old Testament never mentions Hell or a devil
The doctrine of Hell is suggested in the Old Testament, but it is much more clearly revealed in the New. Jesus said more about Hell than anyone.

Where is hell in the Old testament
Sheol:

The term Sheol is used in the Old Testament to refer to the common grave of all the dead. Jacob mentions going to Sheol to mourn for Joseph, and some psalms speak of God being present even in the depths of Sheol.

  • Gehenna:
The Old Testament does mention Gehenna, a physical location outside Jerusalem (the Valley of Hinnom) that was used as a trash dump and where bodies were sometimes burned. The New Testament uses this term metaphorically to describe a place of judgment and destruction.

The term "great flood" in the context of the last Ice Age refers to catastrophic glacial outburst floods, not a single global event. These massive floods occurred when ice dams, such as the one that held back Glacial Lake Missoula, burst, releasing vast quantities of water that carved dramatic landscapes, particularly in the Pacific Northwest. For example, the Missoula floods between 18,000 and 15,000 years ago scoured the Columbia River Basin and reached the Pacific Ocean. Other large floods, like the Bonneville flood, also happened in different locations.

Key events and characteristics
  • Cause:
The floods were caused by the expansion and contraction of glaciers, which would form and then break large ice dams.
    • The floodwaters traveled at speeds over 65 mph and carved out massive canyons and valleys.

    • The floodwaters reached the Pacific Ocean, altering the landscape along the Columbia River.
  • Evidence:
The evidence of these events can be seen today in the scarred landscapes, giant river valleys, and the large, erratically scattered boulders left behind by the floodwaters.

Of course those floods occurred, but the flood of Noah was different and didn't leave such evidence.

Sheol is not hell its the after life we all go to. Jews do not believe in Hell or a devil.

They also do not believe Jesus was Messiah, they are wrong!
Jesus is said to have fulfilled hundreds of Old Testament prophecies, with conservative estimates putting the number at over 300. Scholars differ on the exact count because of differing interpretations and methods of counting, including what constitutes a prophecy or a direct fulfillment. Some scholars suggest figures range from 200 to over 450.

Noahs flood is an allegory
Lessons can be taken of course, but it is written as an actual event, which is nearly universally recorded by various cultures in one form or another.

Autistic Atonement

The Crucifixion makes no sense at all. It's as if a boss was dissatisfied with his employees and thought that whipping his son in front of them would change their behavior.
To fulfill Jewish Law, a kinsman-redeemer could help a relative regain their status by buying back for him what the relative lost. Jesus fulfilled Jewish law by redeeming what we lost due to Adam. Jesus is called the second Adam for that reason. Christ reclaimed our souls by taking on to himself our sins, thereby making us eligible to reside in Heaven. Then He defeated death by coming back from the grave.

Hebrews 2:14-15 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil, and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

None of this disproves the flood. YEC's are wrong about many things. The earth is old with an old history. Of all the catastrophic events that have occurred in earth's history the flood of Noah would just be a footnote, leaving little or no evidence.

The Burckle Crater, dated to the approximate time of Gilgamesh, is about 25 times the size of meteor crater in Arizona and sits under over 11,000 feet of water at the bottom of the Indian Ocean. This impact would have instantly vaporized billions of metric tons of water into the atmosphere causing mega tsunamis, and a mind boggling deluge that would have lasted for weeks and spawned superstorms, cyclones, hurricanes, tornadoes, and relentless downpours around the world which would have washed away every coastal city and every town village and settlement situated near rivers streams and even dry washes in the deserts on every continent.

There are almost 300 flood myths from every continent on earth recorded by people who never heard of Noah.

There is no the flood there were many. Noahs is an allegory it never really happened
It makes no difference if one believes it or not as the effects are well in the past. Even the lessons have been forgotten, and we are well into "as in the days of Noah" where nearly everything has been corrupted, from the soil, air, and water to the genetics of man and animals.

The long detailed list of maledictions that Moses said would happen if the people turned aside from THE WAY he taught to follow the Law sure sounds like hell to me. Deuteronomy 28:15-68

There is no hell in Judaism. Its Christian concept invented to use threats to force obedience
