Well considering that the Mueller Investigation cost $32 million, not $50 million as you've claimed, and in 2019, Money.com estimated that the DOJ had already recovered around $27 million of that cost from fines and levies against 29 criminal defendants who plead or were found guilty, but mostly from Paul Manafort.

Money estimated that once the DOJ finished selling all of Manafort's NY properties, it would recover between $42 and $46 million. This means that the Mueller Investigation paid for itself and cost the taxpayers NOTHING.
