The excuse would be that she helped the Feds nail a shitload of perps. That's theoretically an argument, but that's not how Trump operates. There will have to be something in it for him, so it's tough to imagine that she'd be pardoned if he didn't come out smelling like an artificial rose.

I don't know what he did or didn't do. But no one, ever, has gone out of their way to look guilty of SOMETHING like this. He's a Mafia boss.
