Why would Republicans nominate Trump in 2024?

In a Republic, actually
Nothing is more important to Republicans than controlling the WH, perceived to be their ‘birthright.’

And just as important is controlling the WH for as long as possible – preferably eight years; much of the consternation at Trump’s loss this year is that Republicans were ‘cheated’ out of eight years of Republican rule.

But if elected in 2024, Trump would be able to serve only one four-year term – Republicans wouldn’t have the incumbent advantage going into the 2028 election year.

The true problem is that Americans are far too divided to coexist at this point.

Democrats get elected and immediately work to undo all the last Republican president did......

Republican president gets elected and immediately works to undo all the last Democrat president did.....

Madness.....and unsustainable

They wont, he will be the President in 2020 after all the bogus ballots are counted and thrown out...

Because right now and for the foreseeable future, Trump OWNS the Republican party. He is the Republican party. He enjoys almost a 95% approval rating in the Republican party.
He can marshal voters and supporters with nothing more than a series of tweets on social media. No current Republican holds that kind of gravitas or pull.
And it looks like at least on the surface, he helped down ballot Republicans avoid what should have been an election day massacre. The vote was a referendum on him and his record.
But that knife cuts both ways. Right now, by enabling Trump and not at least showing a modicum of individuality, they are pissing away some of the momentum they got last Tuesday night.

Because they cheated and America knows it.

I was here btw. We are not going to quit fighting for America, and will do all we can to stop Democrats from destroying our elections and our Republic

That's hard to say.

Republicans in the House won 2.5% more the vote than Trump did. In an election decided by <1% in several states, that margin matters.

The GOP will nominate whoever they believe has the best chance of beating whoever the democratic nominee is; probably that hag Kamala "I'll eat your dick for a promotion" Harris.

If the person who has the best chance to beat her is Trump, then he will get the nod...

If he wants to run and isn't nominated, the MAGA-hatters will stomp their fee, sulk, and stay home on election day.
It's still his party and we warned the lemmings that he'd trash it. He did. :cool-45:

I wouldn't put it that way although you have a point. But the Lincoln Project goofs didn't support Trump in 2016 or 2020, what right do they have to demand the support of Trump People in 2024 or beyond?

They will have to actually EARN the votes of Trumpists by their actual actions not just their bullshit. We'll see how Biden Republicans in Congress- Romney, Sasse, Collins, Murkowski-actually participate SUCCESSFULLY in the Le Resistance against Sleepy Joe. If they show their worth in fighting back, maybe they stand a chance down the line.

Trump controls MAGA and MAGA has the votes to control the Republicans.

Republicans fear him, even in defeat

Regardless, Trump will declare he is going to run for the next four years.

If he doesn’t get the GOP nod, he will claim he was cheated
It would be interesting to see which is more compelling: Trump’s control over the GOP or the right’s lust for power.
It used to amaze me when the progs of the left would do something like "lust for Power" As we saw during the 4 years of President Trump and all the bullshit investigations wasting money in their attempt to over throw him, and this very low IQ prog is saying the right lusts for power. Man you are such a stupid fuck...

We on the right dont want an overbearing government that has to tell people like you how to be a slave, we on the right want our freedom because we are smart enough to fight against the very government who enslaves you...

Republicans won nationwide at the polls.......Trump lost

Yet, they still fear him
