The 2000 election, Bush vs Gore, was not perfect but it was fair, Gore conceded after a Supreme court verdict.
The 2004 election, Bush vs Kerry was not perfect but it was fair. Kerry conceded
The 2008 election, McCain vs Obama, was not perfect but it was fair. McCain conceded.
The 2012 election, Romney vs Obama, was not perfect but it was fair. Romney conceded.

Of course they did. They had a massive mail-in campaign, enabling Dems in the six swing states that had Trump in the lead to SIMULTANEOUSLY halt the counting in th middle of the night, truck in thousands of ballots that went 99% for Biden, and then reopen with Biden in the lead.

It was obviously a planned fallback in case the biased media wasn’t successful in convincing the gullible public that Biden was the better choice.
