Why the Sudden Doubts about the Verdict?

Except he did commit a crime. He falsified business records to hide an election payoff.

If the precedent this sets is "Presidents are subject to trial after leaving office if they break laws", I'm all for that.
An NDA is not an election payoff. NDA's are completely legal. If that is your "crime", Joey? You have nothing.

We’ll hold on. The OP is demanding that people agree now to accept the verdict if Not Guilty is the decision. So why isn’t that a two way street?

I saw you kidnap a baby yesterday. I did really. You say you didn't? Oh well, we'll arrest you, gag order you, put you on trial and MAYBE you'll get an acquittal. But maybe not. Either way, I guess we'll accept the verdict.

(For the stupid among us, the above is a hypothetical duh)

The above used to not be my country, but now it is. Congrats for that I guess, and congrats that you made me no longer care. I do not care what happens to this once great nation. You made a bunch of us not care.

Trump’s CFO testified those were his notes?
He's in jail for perjury, for lying in court under oath, for Trump. This is his second sentence, and second time period served in prison for Trump, by Alan Weisselberg.

Trump has a severance agreement with Weisselberg, of which $800,000.000 is still not paid. The severance pay, basically requires him to not give law enforcement any information on Trump that could hurt Trump. He's served a prison sentence twice for Trump by perjuring himself in court, so imo, no one could believe him if he did testify.

And the third reason is that Weisselberg was also part of this crime of falsifying records, of which the court has evidence of his hand written notes showing how they were going to falsify their records to cover-up their reimbursement to Cohen for the Stormy Daniel $130,000 hush money he paid upfront for Trump, so Weisselberg's lawyers would insist that Weisselberg plead the 5th.

Ok. Let’s take your scenario, and put it into context of the NY trial.

Among the witnesses who would testify would be half a dozen people who directly conspired to assist the defendant in kidnapping the child.

Copies of documents written by the defendant planning the kidnapping.

Audio recordings of the Defendant directing people to do their part to assist with the kidnapping.

Records of the Defendant being there in his own car at the time of the kidnapping.

Other witnesses who overheard the Defendant describe why he needed to Kidnap the child.

The Child who testified that they had in fact been kidnapped.

Because that is the evidence that has been presented in this case, yet followers of the Defendant scream that there was no crime in the kidnapping.

You are right. It is something I never imagined I would see in my Country.

She was paid $130,000 to keep silent about an affair, and spoke up only after Trump started calling her "Horseface".

Nope, it was an illegal payoff meant to influence an election, that's why it's a crime.

You're just making stuff up, if you cannot provide links.

NDA's are legal. So what was the "crime"?

Your premise is absurd. No one - Republican, Democrat, man, woman, or Mx would ever be put on trial with such flimsy evidence of no particular crime - except Donald Trump.

There are not two tears of justice. There are an infinite number of ways “justice” can be applied, depending on the whims and wishes of whoever is temporarily in charge of prosecutions and investigations.

Our system makes it ridiculously easy to weapon the law. We’ve only avoided the kind of absurdity. We see in the Manhattan trial because we haven’t had a president, so hated as Donald Trump.

Mind you, hated by those for whom putting America first is an anathema.
I give it three tears because I have allergies.

NDA's are not legal to cover up illegal activity.

The crime is that he listed an expense related to his campaign as a legal expense, which it was not. It was a payoff.
He paid a lawyer and listed that expense as a "legal expense". That lawyer executed an NDA which is completely legal to do. You can call it a "payoff"! You can call it "hush money"! It doesn't matter. It's still legal. So where is the crime?

Except the money didn't go to a lawyer, it went to a porn star. And the payment was hidden until after the election. That's where the 34 counts come in.

Hush money is not legal when it is meant to influence an election.

Cohen took out a loan against his house to pay Daniels. Trump knew nothing about that. As for "hiding" the payment? That entry wouldn't have been visible to anyone until way after the election...why would there even be a need to "hide" it? An NDA is a legal transaction. You have no crime.

Using business funds and writing it off as a business expense.

Which was Cohen concealing that fact from Trump.

...HOW? How did Cohen convince Trump to pay him 35,000 every month for NOTHING? No invoices, no billable hours, nothing, just checks into Cohen pocket totalling EXACTLY 420K, just as Trump's CFO wrote out on the NDA payment record.

Do you seriously not understand how fucking stupid you sound?

Oh, come on, guy nobody believes that.

Trump wasn't stupid enough to get on the stand and claim that was the case.

Cohen had no reason to pay Daniels. he didn't have sex with her.

How many times prior to that had Trump paid Cohen? How were those payments entered? As legal expenses? So what makes listing the payment as "legal expense" this time "criminal"? Trump didn't even know what Cohen was doing until AFTER it had been done!

Well, good thing that Trump got on the stand to straighten that out.

Oh, no, wait. He didn't do that? He invoked his fifth Amendment rights? You know who invokes the Fifth Amendment, right? just the guilty, according to Donald Trump.
