A delusion is a belief held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary. As a pathology, it is distinct from a belief based on false or incomplete information, confabulation, dogma, illusion, or other effects of perception.

Norway and Denmark are two countries with exception to socialism working because their population is very small in the millions compared to America in the hundreds of millions. A few Nordic billionaires can afford to pay for a million Nordic citizens like a charity case, which is what most American billionaires give to millions of American people in charities as well, but not able to support hundreds of millions of American people. It's easy to distribute other peoples wealth among a few million, but dividing wealth among hundreds of millions will deplete funds. This is what Hitler attempted to accomplish when he needed more funds for war and to keep the Germany economy going, he invaded other countries for their resources to stay afloat. Delusional socialist!

Socialist really haven't thought this through thoroughly because they're trying to turn this into winning a debate in order to shame the 1% and pull the wool over morons eyes. Maybe liberals might be naive or over zealous idealist that can't see the long term effects, but there is no reasoning with liberals that attempt to argue with emotional reasoning. Liberals will discover some way to refute this post which they shoot themselves in the foot because I exposed their twisted spin on socialism. Liberals remind me of a person that gets an idea, then the lib goes to the bank for a loan to fund it, they ask the liberal for a business plan, the lib says its in their head, then the bank ask the lib for collateral, the lib says its not fair, all you banks discriminate. So, libs find ways to discredit banks because they didn't support their unprepared proposal. Most libs don't think or research before they talk, they just go ahaaa! I got something that will convince everyone I'm right. Socialism is a delusional dream like a moron going to the bank.

Bernie Sanders has Picked up the Wrong Lessons from the Nordic Model

Make no mistake, the classic weaknesses of socialism are playing out in as clear a way as you can possibly see them in Greece right now. Here they are: Greece ran out of other people's money. Greece's politicians made sweeping pension and benefit promises they could not keep. Greece expected to live in a fashion greater than the wealth it produced, etc. But I don't expect any bestselling books to be published in the coming year filled with anecdotes about socialist politicians who believed or didn't believe their own socialist lies. I don't expect Michael Moore or the big Hollywood studios to come out with movies about Greek pensioners making more in retirement than they did when they worked and then furiously threatening anyone who suggested they take some kind of cutback. And I can live with that because the best books and writings about the dangers and follies of socialism have probably already been written by Milton Friedman, Frederic Bastiat and Ludwig von Mises. And I doubt anyone could ever make better movies about the economic effects of socialism than Dr. Zhivago or Ninotchka. I'll live without the recognition of socialist mayhem from the entertainment media.

But the biggest problem with the rest of the media not identifying socialism as the culprit in this massive public failure goes beyond letting the guilty party go free. The real danger is that all the other nations and politicians currently pushing socialist programs on small and grand scales will not be slowed in the slightest by Greece's collapse. Dozens of U.S. states with unpayable pension obligations will continue moving along as usual. The federal government will continue to expand food stamp and medicaid rolls even as the economy improves. We're simply squandering the relatively free lesson we should be learning from someone else's massive socialist failure. We may not have changed much about our capital markets to help avoid a repeat of the 2008 crashes, but at least there was a very loud call for reform. Where's the call to fix the failed socialist model of the E.U. from a source other than American right wing talk radio?

That call is likely not going to come. Some kind of new deal will be worked out and the rest of the E.U. will try to generate enough wealth to placate the neverending welfare demands coming from its member countries. When it doesn't, this scenario will repeat itself over and over until a much more painful remedy for all of Europe and the world will take place. And it will all be because it's become too politically incorrect or burdensome to diagnose the clear cause of this economic malady.

Bernie Sanders has stated now, and in the past, that he would like to see an America with universal healthcare, paid maternity leave, expanded social security through higher payroll taxes, mandatory vacation days and sick leave, free secondary education, and the enactment of a slew of other progressive policies. It seems he has only forgotten to promise yachts for the homeless.

The underlying problem with socialists like Bernie Sanders is that they do not actually believe (or understand) in economics at all. As Ludwig von Mises himself has pointed out, socialism is not an economic theory — it is a theory of redistribution. Only free exchange can coordinate entrepreneurs and their resources in a way that creates actual goods and services that satisfy consumer needs and wants. Socialists like Bernie Sanders take no part in this process of wealth creation; they merely show up after the fact and demand title. Sweden has practiced this form of parasitic socialism on their accumulated wealth and it has significantly stifled Swedish productivity.

Nordic-style policies advocated by Sanders have (predictably) restricted Sweden’s growth for decades. The notion that we can implement Nordic socialism in a nation of 320 million people without destroying labor mobility, taxing capital out of existence, and absolutely crippling innovation where it’s needed most is pure delusion. Sweden is slowly returning to its productive capitalist roots. We should do the same.

Don't waste your time, you're posting to a moron who speaks in Googly Images and bogus quotes.

Not only does he not grok the distinction between "Liberalism" and "Socialism" -- he can't even form an English plural:
Socialist [sic] really haven't thought this through

Moreover, at least some of his text content has been plagiarized verbatim (and unattributed) from a CNBC blog, and he's pasted the same post on other message boards. He appears to be another paid blogger. And now, a busted one.

--- Seems to be powerfully in awe of Bernie Sanders though.

The Nordic welfare model refers to the welfarepolicies of the Nordic countries, which also tie into their labor market policies. The Nordic model of welfare is distinguished from other types of welfare states by its emphasis on maximizing labor force participation, promoting gender equality, egalitarian and extensive benefit levels, the large magnitude of income redistribution, and liberal use of expansionary fiscal policy.

The Nordic model (also called Nordic capitalism or Nordic social democracy) refers to the economic and social policies common to the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Iceland and Sweden).

Denmark has a wide range of welfare benefits that they offer their citizens. As a result, they also have the highest taxes in the world. Equality is considered the most important value in Denmark. Small businesses thrive, with over 70 percent of companies having 50 employees or less.

Below, you will see some of the most socialistic nations in the world today:
  • China.
  • Denmark.
  • Finland.
  • Netherlands.
  • Canada.
  • Sweden.
  • Norway.
  • Ireland.

There are always different reasons from greed or selfishness for the USA's inability to follow other countries' models.

I'm your target now which you're stalking. I have now become your #1 mission. Creepy stalker who can't get enough attention.

...morons have IQ of 51–70 mostly uneducated democrats vote Obama and democrat, which were a majority of 100 million uneducated welfare voters, ghettos, trailer park, dropouts, baby mamas, and immigrants

And you're so stupid that you blast the same post onto various message boards, even plagiarizing, as I just linked above, other people's work to do so. You just did it again above with the "Nordic model" plagiarism. You're so stupid you use the same avatar and screen name on those other sites. A retard could look this up.

I've busted your type before Junior, and I'll do it again. You're a fucking fraud.

And by the way, congrats on keeping alive the bogus Googly Image bullshit with that one just above. That Lifeline legislation was signed into law by ------------ George W. Bush.

DUMBASS.

How socialist decline can be delayed:

1. Homogeneous populations.
2. North Sea oil.
3. Tourism

The upper third (used to be half*) of the U.S. population lives better than anywhere else on Earth. That is the reason everyone wants to live here.

*Courtesy of Obama. Hillary will make it 1/4 and Bernie will make it 1/5.

Not big enough, not diverse enough, not exceptional enough.

Those are common explanations as to why other countries are unsuitable models for the US

Never not greedy enough or not selfish enough.

Since many nations now have a mixed economy, socialism and capitalism, how many socialist programs does it take before the nation is a socialist nation. Maybe if one could name a socialist nation it would help.
