Despite poor white people in southern red states barely surviving on slave wages, welfare, food stamps, and no adequate health care, they routinely vote for Republicans openly campaigning on driving their constituents deeper into poverty. It is true that opposition to Democrats as surrogates for an African American President is driven by racial animus, but even that fails to explain poor white voters electing abusive Republicans promising to eliminate programs that keep them alive.

Obviously, those poor white people who vote Republican are not nearly as successful in driving their fellow conservatives into continuing poverty as those black folks who routinely and without a single coherent thought vote Democrat, time after time, driving their fellow constituents and themselves into self-selected poverty, like those high information voters in the ghettos of Washington, DC, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Detroit, New York, Ferguson and Anywhere, USA.

When Bill Clinton signed NAFTA, black communities got hit hard. Manufacturing jobs, the belt of black employment left these inner cities without a black up plan and sadly most fell into the pits of poverty. With poverty, comes white flight and thus you have it.....a cesspool of nigga's without a future, shitty politicians exploiting their vulnerability and people like you finding this all amusing. It's income redistribution, which is technically welfare, but it's a kind of welfare that almost everyone agrees is the "good kind".

Myself personally, I think that people could do a lot better for their needs through investments, hand that amount over to a good investor and you'll have far more than the gov will give you when you get older. But people seem to have a hate for the banks/investors who's job is to make them money so I'm sure not many would agree with me these days - their loss.

Well, there are issues besides those that are financial.

There are people who are pro-life or more aggressive militarily or don't think government should be too big even if it means that things are a bit tougher for them. Whatever, I can't speak for them.

The R's held both houses of Congress and the White House and never once passed an anti abortion law. Why? Because they can continue to use abortion as an issue to get the vote of social conservatives.

Democrats support free contraceptives to all women of child bearing age and age appropriate sex education as part of a comprehensive health care curriculum in the public schools - both would reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies and abortion as well as sexually transmitted disease.
