10 years ago I left the NRA, and vowed not to rejoin til they got rid of LaPierre.
I believe he's gone now, but I'm no longer able to travel to the range, so the point is moot.

The NRA does some excellent work in teaching and promoting gun safety and protecting our unalienable right to self defense. For that reason I think you should at least appreciate the effort. If you don't want to contribute to that or pay for a membership, just don't. They won't care.

Some people just get in the way.
The NRA offers gun owners status as good guys with guns.
They can then pretend to being 'good' guys with guns, right up until the pull the trigger and become mass shooters with guns.
The NRA doesn't accept the term 'bad guy' with a gun for their members even when they become a Rittenhouse or a Chauvin..
