Colorado governor signs restrictive gun bill into law

No, you would have to have the firearm shipped to a dealer in YOUR State, who would then do the transfer.

No one may legally travel to another State and buy a handgun and take it that day.

ALL handgun sales must be transferred to you through YOUR local State dealer.

Without exception.

That's a Federal law.

OTOH, I can go to that same show, buy the handgun, and take it with me.

Because I am a Nevada resident.
Can you travel to a Phoenix Gun Show and buy a new HG from an FFL and take it with you without a BGC ?

Of course not. IT'S A FEDERAL LAW! I would have to have the dealer in Phoenix ship it to my dealer in Reno. How plain do I have to make it for you!

Too late for me to do that now, I need to finish out my working career here, and then I'm definitely out of here!

When my folks moved here in the 70's, Oregon was a really simple place to live in. Virtually no gun restrictions of any kind, it was inexpensive to live here, there were thousands of homes under $20K, wages weren't great but super-easy for one working person in the household to buy a home and raise a family. Now it's becoming over-regulated like California, VERY expensive to live in, and no chance now of Republicans and or conservatives to run any segment of the state's lawmaking and enforcing.
It's a lost cause, and not a good place to move to.

Hold on, seems Idaho may be taking some countries from Oregon soon, leaving the Progressive part of Oregon to wilt away like Kalifornia...

So why were some posters in this thread saying they can get an FFL to sell them a new Handgun without a BGC ( even though they do not have a Carry permit ) ???

Because in OUR States we can. In OUR individual States there are laws that exempt CCW holders from having to undergo a BGC.

YOUR silly State doesn't have that type of law in effect.
