Why isn't there a Dept of U.S. innovation?

Surprised there is no appointment for such a dept of innovation, particularly me or Michio Kaku, the person who often talks up my theoretical and tangible concepts.
You'd assume Elon Musk would head that Dept but he's got his plate full, we need him to do to the gov't what he did for twitter (clean house and slim line).
Besides he cost his company & the industry millions by ignoring my waving in his face a solution to car range and lack of infrastructure (*which I can help the gov't with immensely).
What are my qualifications besides my innovative ways to extend range via many placements on the car for self charging, well what about my laser solution to the trash renoval and dump landfills solving Americas trash crisis?
What about the time Unilever and J&J would not listen to my idea that would have reduced contracting covid by at least 50%, simply because they "take no solicitations of ideas" (innovations).
Hence a serious need for such a dept to overcome man's nature to be silly negative stasists.

That lack of communication, lacking a platform thus lack of access, lack of virtual round table of ideas stiffles or slows down innovation and progression of tech and sciences.
Note: Trump likes to ask everyone for ideas for a reason, much comes from the private sector or can be evolved from base of their contributed ideas.

in the case of Unilever, they already make the product it was as simple as adding an ingredient to that existing product and instruction of use to hinder contracting covid or any other virus cold, something that would have lessoned contraction thus deaths during covid. I think the gov't would have been interested, but somehow Unilever was not interested in helping the Covid situation.

Even when we landed on The Moon (and we did land on The Moon) every single nut, bolt, panel, button, and switch in all the space vehicles was built by civilian contractors.

In every presidential four year term, they create two new departments, hence our very bloated government. Only create one new department for every six that are eliminated. Until then, no new departments.

The term "innovation" is not specifically about science and technology - you do know that I hope? Why would you be relevant to this idea when you don't seem to understand what the term even means?

Conservatives - by definition - are disinclined toward innovation because it is all about change, changing how we structure things, how we do things, how we describe things and how we look at things, that's also called liberalism, you'll not get innovation from any team or enterprise managed by someone like Trump or the sycophantic right wing extremists who adore him.

If you are specifically focused on technological innovation then we do have such a department, it's called DARPA. Much of the technology we see around us today began or was instigated by government defense projects.
