Because the argument was never legitimate. The fact is far right ideology is never going to win. A centrist is the Republicans only bet and that is still a hard win. The way the electoral votes are rigged a candidate has to be absolutely perfect. Every GOP candidate has a major up hill battle. Trump will have that uphill battle.

To win those swing votes you have to appeal to independents. Far right ideologies like Cruz will not appeal to them.

It is possible that his staff acted without his knowledge so you guys should overlook that unless it continues up into your primaries.(Again, I gave support to a candidate I would love see disappear!)

However, he has become the evangelical candidate.
Evangelical pols tend to implode in primaries. The moral majority is not a mindless blob folks. They have bad weather too, an some may not want a politician that politicize the faith.

In other words, Cruz may have over courted the moral majority.

If Cruz didn't know, he should have, and if he did know, he's a lyin' creep. Either way, who the hell needs another Obie-type liar in the oval office? Kudos to the Nv. Republican caucus voters for figuring it out.

BTW, I stopped cruzin' with Cruz since he initially screwed with Carson in Iowa, and am back to Trump. At least, he's honest!

Because the establishment has had a much longer time to "hose" him. He was in their eyes, the biggest threat. They laughed off Trump thinking he would implode of his own volition, which he may still do, lol.

Washington DC and the media are playing everyone, all the time. Do you remember that senator from Alaska who was GOP that got creamed by the media? (I forget his name) Look back, and you will see the hatchet job they did causing his life to be ruined, and him to lose his seat.

What was the outcome? It was all fantasy, the courts actually apologized to him, but the establishment had their way.

Look at Bork! They massacred him too. It to was all fantasy, but it ruined his life also, because of his reputation.

Politics is a full contact sport. Ever heard that saying? Well, it is accurate. The middle of the road Washington elites have their agenda, they do not care who they screw as long as THEY retain power, and the media who fight to get EXCLUSIVES to promote their credibility, go along.

Just ponder what I wrote for a little while this evening, and it will come to you why we are seeing what we are seeing. Once you realize that they are all in cahoots for different reasons, it becomes apparent how things are manipulated. Sure, they all do it for different reasons, but they do it for their own GAIN. You on the other hand, get to listen why only this one is electable, or that one is unelectable, and that is all you hear. If you repeat something often enough, people begin to believe it, and that is part of what has happened to Ted Cruz.

Cruz surrounded himself with questionable people which is a reflection of his character. On the other hand Carson is a rookie and was prone to make costly rookie mistakes, possibly the only true conservative in the bunch. Trump capitalized on anger and said it how it was, yet the question remains, a true sheep in wolf clothing, or the real deal? Rubio, possibly the only remaining obstacle to a Trump nomination, however plagued by his gang of 8 ball and chains around his neck and possible Rino associations. Super Tuesday will be the moment of truth.

Democrats promote government dependence and stealing from the haves and the ones that want the American dream to pay for the freeloader votes .. it's obvious and economically unsustainable.
