The psychological experiments we did in psych class in college showed that an increase in the population density of mice in a controlled area resulted in increased violent behavior
So, if I understand you correctly, you are against big blue cities and are for red rural areas.

Again, that only works if you're independently wealthy.

To the topic: greater opportunities' for crime, more wealth in general in metros including stores and commerce, more actual human interaction (my personal people suck so attempt to crew each other over and road rage theory).
Huh? What only works if you are independently wealthy? Getting a job?

Like totally! Not....

While the Giuliani administration is widely credited with the city's crime reduction, some critics point out that the nationwide crime rate was also declining during that period. Some researchers suggest that factors such as the phasing out of leaded paint and gasoline may have contributed to a global decline in violent crime, and that Giuliani's policies may not have been as effective as claimed.
Seriously? That's really the story you're sticking to?

Yeah but the people living there aren’t working hence why the UE rates are higher then the national avg

If you want to be safe and have prosperity leave the city
Quite a paradox. The dem run blue cities are where most of the jobs and the jobless are. If you want to work you go find a job in the city. If you don't want to work you go to the city and collect unemployment.

LOL. And here I thought I was the only one who didn't understand what in the hell we wrote. Thanks for making me feel better. I thought I missed something but apparently there was nothing to miss.

Current results of the poll:

10 voters say it is democrat's fault, zero say it is republican's fault

14 voters say we don't keep the criminals locked up while zero say we need more gun control legislation

very interesting

States will often put resources and public housing in metro areas also.

Yeah, after re-reading my post I should not have said that if you want a job you move to the city, if you don't want a job you move to the city and collect unemployment because it isn't unemployment you would be collecting, it would be government benefits for those who don't want to work, including public housing.

Not having to live in metros. Most people have to work.
Yeah and they shouldn’t live in metros since the UE rate is higher there on avg.

The poverty rate is also higher in the city.

So if you want a job, and want your family to be safe and prosper, it's best to leave places like Chicago, and go work in some place like TN at the Toyota plant, where you have a good paying job, and don't have to worry about being murdered

Since we've been talking about high crime in large cities since Trump's DC takeover, let's find out why there is high crime in large cities. Vote for as many as you want. Now we'll find out why there is high crime in the large cities. And, we're talking about all kinds of crime, not just violent crime.
In my opinion, it's simply a matter of numbers (more people means a higher concentration of bad actors) and more opportunity. (More people, places, and things, easily accessed for victimization.)

Yes, to another metro: Jackson, Tenn. Or San Antonio, Tx. Or design studios and headquarters in Los Angeles, etc.

Murder Officially Plunged in 2024
That and more takeaways from the FBI's 2024 Reported Crime in the Nation report.
Jeff Asher
Aug 05, 2025

The FBI released its report on crime in the United States for 2024 today showing a 14.9 percent decline in murder with 4.4 percent and 8.1 percent drops in overall violent and property crime respectively. The nation’s murder rate for 2024 was down 26 percent from 2020’s figure and roughly even — slightly lower, actually — relative to where it stood pre-pandemic. The nation’s reported violent and property crime rates stood at the lowest levels since the 1960s in 2024.

Jackson TN is not a metro area. It has a population of about 68K people....a metro in TN would be like Memphis with a population of nearly 700K

see the difference?
