Why is the Bible needed if there are originals of biblical myths?

The word Bible is obviously a corruption of the word Bab-ilu, "gate of the gods". That's what they called Babylon. Most of the biblical myths are distorted myths of Babylon, with the substitution of meaning. But if there is an original of these myths, then why do we need their distorted copies?

And Gandhi copied off the apostle Paul in the bible, what's your point?

Babylon is the most famous city from ancient Mesopotamia whose ruins lie in modern-day Iraq 59 miles (94 kilometres) southwest of Baghdad. The name is thought to derive from bav-il or bav-ilim which, in the Akkadian language of the time, meant 'Gate of God' or 'Gate of the Gods' and 'Babylon' coming from Greek.

Your both right!!

Not really. The accounts may have some of the same elements, but they are told from differing perspectives. That does not equate to "corruption".

'Gate of the Gods'

is there anything else than the forged 10 commandments and the heretic moses claim the religion of antiquity is monotheistic ...

There certainly was no monotheism. For example, in the myth of creation and the flood, 7 Anuaks took part. And only one of them - Enki - was the protector of people who saved "Noah". Others voted for the people to be exterminated.
In the Bible itself, the word "Elohim" is mentioned, which means "gods"

The Bible is a work of theology, not history or literature. It certainly borrowed what it wanted from previous cultures but the Bible's theology is what is important and unique.

Than my post was spot on. If you're looking for the origin of myths, good luck, my point was every culture reinterprets existing myths and the Babylonians were no different. Their myths probably originated in other cultures through oral traditions going back millennia.

the c bible is - the state religion of the roman empire - it is not a theological document or point to its underlying religious content.

Can you back up your statement that the word Bible is a corruption of the word Bab-ilu with a link as what may be obvious to you is not at all obvious to me.

This is supported by the fact that it is just a collection of distorted Babylonian myths.
