Why is it to threat to Democracy to say 2020 was stolen, but not a threat to Democracy to say 2016 was stolen?

RFK Jr. is running on the Republican ticket?
He’s running for president. He’s on the ballot. Just like Harris.

Didn’t win a primary.

Of course that’s okay with the right. Undoubtedly.

The Democrat and Republican parties have a process to nominate their candidates. The Democrats skirted that policy and appointed/annointed their nominee. I don’t really care what they do to be honest. Their constituency evidently doesn't care if they were bypassed in the process.(brainwashing again) Republicans just need to make sure that their anointed candidates don’t win.

In the case of Harris, she was a horrible Presidential candidate and a horrible VP, so they made their choice.

Unions have too much power. No, I am not in a union and proud of it. My wife and I are both educated, with my wife being an MD. We are the “rich” the Democrats like to say isn’t paying their fair share. We pay more in taxes than most make and somehow we aren’t doing enough. Our family and friends, all of which are educated and successful will vote for Trump. The least successful in my red state, vote heavily Democratic.

Yes, globalists are evil. Maybe you haven’t figured it out yet, but the Democrats are the globalists.

Yeah, those are some real role models there.

Yeah, Hollywood is a true moral and trustworthy crowd. Cheez.
You make $400,000 a year?

And honestly, the people we need to be worrying about make less than $50,000 a year.

Btw, I make $85k to $99k. Single, no mortgage, no debt, max out $401k, good insurance, I assume you make more than me. So why can’t you pay higher taxes?

My brother was just a vp of hr. Made $1 mill. His predecessor $2 mill. Her predecessor $6 mill a year. Why shouldn’t they pay higher taxes? Their pay has skyriocket Ed.

Thank you for admitting the gop is the party of the rich. I agree.

A lot of them maybe aren’t worried if trump cuts social security and Medicare 20%. Or don’t believe he/they will.

I want my ss. And most poor people do too. That’s a lot for us to give up when your pay has gone up so much in recent decades.

The candidate dropped out of the race.

So the delegates chose the candidate.

Not sure what there is to be upset about. That’s how the process is designed to work. It’s not like Dems plotted to invalidate votes for Trump in order to steal the election. That would be an actual threat to democracy. But you don’t want to talk about that, given your brainwashing.

DBA cares about the difference between a tranny and gay, now he’s claiming to care about how democrats picked our candidate.

Remember, he doesn’t really care about these things. He wants us debating nonsense. I’m gonna bounce on DBA. Hes probably a Russian

I won’t divulge my family’s income on a message board, but let’s just say we are solidly inside the top 5%. We pay more in taxes than you profess to make.

We do pay higher taxes due to the progressive tax system. It isn’t just taxes, but as I pointed out in another thread, there are a litany of other “penalties” for making more money. Why should the “rich” have to foot the vast majority of the bill for the 49% of those that don’t pay any federal income tax? Everyone should have some skin in the game, otherwise, if that 49% rose to 51%, could vote by simple majority(if the left got their way) to give themselves a paycheck from the 51%.

I agree that those making less than 50k need some attention. Other than handouts, what do the Democrats do to help them? Do you believe that taxing the rich and increasing corporate taxes will somehow help them? It won’t.

2016 may have been stolen. But we didn't keep crying when they denies Jill Stein a recount in Michigan. Trump only won MI by like 10,000 votes. Remember he called Georgia and asked them to find him 11,000 votes like that should be no problem? Maybe Republican Gov Rick Snyder found him those 10,000 votes in 2016.

Then Trump appointed Rick Snyder's boss' wife to run the Department of Education. Seems fishy to me.

2000 was stolen. 2020 wasn't. That's why it's a threat to democracy to say 2020 was stolen. It undermines our election process. But the truth is, 2000 was actually stolen.

What's a threat is Trump tried to rig 2020 and will try to rig 2028 if he's the President then. Fake electors. Trying to get Mike Pence to pull a fast one. Vergogna you little bitch.
If. I ever amass enough wealth to control this country, I will BAN all leftwingers from ever holding political office again.

You're an elitist. And you're not even actually rich enough to be voting or benefiting from Republican policies. Or, you have, and you don't have empathy for people who don't have your particular set of skills.

I'm a SINK. Single No Kids. So I have A LOT of money based on my lifestyle. And I knew I wasn't alone. It's become a thing thanks to your way of thinking. That the poor need more skin in the game and you pay too much. No you don't. Honestly. You've got a big fat 401K right?

Most private practice doctors (small business owners) vote for Republicans but big hospital doctors who deal with real problems not plastic surgery or lil jimmy's foot fungus vote Democratic. Socialize medicine. Doctors make too much. They'd do it for $150K a year. Unless you live like Doctor Strange before the accident.

Funny stuff. The true elitists in the country are Democrats. Do you actually believe they are empathetic or is it that they are voting to remain elite?

I am a successful white collar worker who benefits much more from Republican policies that Democratic policies. My taxes decrease and I am not penalized for being successful. As I mentioned previously, the true elitist, ultra-wealthy folks are insulated from the dim witted policies of Democrats. It makes them feel good that they are supposedly supporting all this stuff for poor people, but the reality is, they aren’t footing the bill. People like me are.

Yes, single no kids is a thing now. It is part a parcel of a more secular society that focuses more on self-interest than family. Kids are expensive and require a loss of freedom and add responsibility. People can be richer and are more able to be perpetual children themselves if they forego having children. I haven’t looked it up, but I would bet that most older, unmarried, childless people are Democrats. I know that most never married people with children are Democrats. Family is the fabric of society and that fabric is being slowly torn down by selfish, self-centered move towards secularism, which doesn’t put a premium on family.

Yes, everyone needs skin in the game. I’m not sure how that is even a point of debate.

Yes, we have 401(k)s. We do not have a pension and must take it on ourselves to save for retirement.

Doctors are not immune from indoctrination, but I can assure you that you would no longer get the best and the brightest if pay was 150k/yr. Some dockworkers that were striking a few weeks ago are making more than that. Those Democrat doctors talk a big game, but just like all Democrats, if they were told that they would be taking a huge pay cut, they would change their tune real quick. The Democratic mantra should be “tis good for me, but not for thee.”

Okay, so you have no problem believing things that have never been proven about 2016, but won't stand for skepticism about unproven things in 2020? Do we have that right?

Well I've never done better than under Democrats and I see their policies matter.

You make over $100K. So did I for a minute, before Covid. But you can't relate. You must have job security. You must not have gone through hard times. So you can't relate.

And Kamala isn't going to raise your taxes unless you make over $400K.

My brother has $15 million and his justification for voting for Trump is not that he will do better financially. It's WOKE that he hates.

Bottom line is you are correct. People who make over $100K tend to be Republicans. And I see why. I'm basically making that much because I don't have any kids or debt. I'm upper middle class. So I don't care when they raise interest rates. Then I get better interest on my savings. I pay cash for things. I'm not buying a new home. I don't have kids. They are expensive.

Kamala is worrying about 2 parents who combined don't make as much as I do. She's not worrying about you rich boy. You can afford to pay the taxes you paid before the Reagan/Bush/Trump tax breaks. How many tax breaks do you need? We're broke. Because Republicans spend a lot while giving you tax breaks. And they only want to cut programs that help poor guys like us.

Poor people have skin in the game. 6 sales tax. It's a huge hit when you only make $20 hr.

There is no definition of "democracy" that both parties can accept. In the Republican view, all voters should be required to pre-qualify, and in the Democrat view, the more ignorant voters you have, the better it is.

Of course this doesn't account for the score of strategies the Democrats have employed to try to prevent half the fucking country from voting for the candidate that they enthusiastically support. That is the real "threat to democracy," and as always, if you want to know what the Left is up to, just listen to what they are accusing their opponents of.

It's funny, because Trump is now doing his best to court the lowest information voters out there. That's why he's on all these random non-political podcasts.

What exactly are these strategies that Dems have employed?

Both arguments come from petty cry babies simply because they lost.

It's sad but neither side will likely have what it takes to simply admit they lost again.

A descent to the bottom.

You make over $100K. So did I for a minute, before Covid. But you can't relate. You must have job security. You must not have gone through hard times. So you can't relate.

I waited tables just out of college back when waiting tables didn't pay well. I couldn't fill my gas tank because I didn't have the money. I didn't complain, instead I found the job I wanted and then proceeded to do well by hard work and extra hours. I wouldn't say I necessarily have job security, but I do have some financial security thanks to years of hard work.

And Kamala isn't going to raise your taxes unless you make over $400K.

If I do or if I don't, yes, she will raise my taxes as the Trump tax cuts are expiring. You have been lied to.

My brother has $15 million and his justification for voting for Trump is not that he will do better financially. It's WOKE that he hates.

Good for him. WOKE is lacks common sense.

That is what Democrats always tell you, but strangely enough, these people were doing much better under Trump's first term that under Biden. Much better. Higher real wages, easier home ownership, lower food prices, lower gas prices, lower insurance prices, etc. The list is extensive.

It's funny, because Trump is now doing his best to court the lowest information voters out there. That's why he's on all these random non-political podcasts.

Democrats have had the least informed base wrapped up for decades. If Trump peals a few off the top, so be it. Democrats invite every celebrity they can find and bombard social media to get the lowest info voters.

Trump's entire political platform depends on low information voters, and it's not even because they're courting people who are disengaged. The engaged voters in his base survive in a conservative media bubble which keeps large quantities of information away from them and misleads them to believe wildly incorrect things.

I mean, why else would so many Republicans think inflation is getting worse, unemployment is historically high, GDP is falling and that we are in a recession? They're not hearing it from left wing media.

You are fortunate to have a skill that pays well. Me too. But during the Bush 2000's, no one was paid well. In fact, from 1978 to today, WE have only got a 18% raise. THEY have gotten as much as a 1322% raise. Yes, some CEO pay has gone up that much.

The opposite of WOKE is asleep

Celebrity brings excitement. And a lot of people respect Beyonce/Bruce/Taylor

The engaged voters in his base survive in a conservative media bubble which keeps large quantities of information away from them and misleads them to believe wildly incorrect things.

You mean widely incorrect things like real wages are higher under Biden or that crime is lower(after leaving out high crime large cities) or that GDP growth under Biden is good despite still 1/10 lower than under Trump, despite COVID, or that Democrats have any interest in securing our border?

I mean, why else would so many Republicans think inflation is getting worse, unemployment is historically high, GDP is falling and that we are in a recession? They're not hearing it from left wing media.

Whether inflation is getting worse or not is irrelevant. The damage has been done. Year over year inflation under Trump was 1.9%. It is 5.2% under Biden. That is second only to Ford and Carter. The inflation rate was 2.4% for the year ending in Sept. That is still .5% higher than Trump's year over year inflation rate. Goods and service are much, much higher in 2024 than they were in 2021 and they won't come back down. Intelligent, informed, heck, just observant people, recognize this.

I don't know many that believe that unemployment is historically high, but many do question the calculations.

Again, I don't think many believe that GDP low, just ok, not great, in fact, still lower than Trump's average.
