Why is it so hard to fire bad cops in America?

This is what often prevents Europe and other places from having faith in America. Canada has a problem with the covert variety which even a S Korean cop online told me, without me going into details that "we don't use kids to target kids in Seoul".

In Sweden to be a police officer requires years of training and education, it is viewed as an honourable profession run by top performers.

Some police agencies and nations build a reputation and it not only hurts faith domestically, but internationally. It must be difficult dealing with a more violent criminal element, but still, one has to remain a professional. If your Constitution and civil rights dont mean anything you will become Canada.

Despite Hollywood hype and fiction the system works and bad cops are indicted and prosecuted. On the other hand it's almost impossible to fire bad politicians like the bunch who violated their oath in Texas and fled the state rather than doing their duty. Who do we see when democrats and the liberal media protected the Capital Cop from being indicted for shooting and killing unarmed Ashli Babbitt during the commission of an alleged misdemeanor during the Jan 6 demonstrations.

Cops enjoy that sovereign immunity to shield them. We had a cop plow through a sign at one of my businesses in the middle of the night and their alleged insurance refused to pay a nickle because they have sovereign immunity. Whole thing was caught on the security cameras. I am not sure why they even bother having the insurance if they never pay anything. Only thing they did was to send some captain out to tell us there was no need to file a police report against the officer because they were already aware of the on-duty incident.
