Simple. She waits for me to do it. She can get to a door a full minute before I do, and she will stand there waiting for me to come and open it. If she had just barred through the door herself over the years I would probably have forgotten all about the man's duty to open doors.

Whaddaya mean "if?" That's exactly what I do, except that I sit in my home office waiting for her to call me to dinner.

When we first got married, she was a stay at home wife and then she stayed at home to raise kids. Later, when the kids did not need her hovering all the time, she got interested in teaching. She still cooks all the meals except on a rare occasion when I see she is tired and I offer to cook. She has to be tired indeed to be willing to have my cooking instead of hers.

What kind of stuff do you make when you cook instead of your wife? To me, anything that you make should be A okay. If your wife is more along the lines of a gourmet cook, that is great, but in my opinion, that doesn't mean that every meal at your house has to be like that. The man who preaches at my church knows how to come to church with a suit on, but he also knows how to come dressed up in something more casual too which is one thing that I have heard said about church. You don't have to be dressed up as if you are on your way to a wedding. If anything, come as you are more instead.

My wife makes both simple and complicated food and does both to perfection.

With me, it is always simple. I cook when my wife is too tired to cook and too tired to go out.
