Basically, because I'm neither white nor black. And that's all you hear about in America, all the time.
Let's say whites are 65% of America. May be higher, may be lower, but let's just use that for now. And let's say blacks are 14%. Same idea, as a rough number.
That leaves about 21% of Americans, or some 67 million people...! who cannot be classified as white nor black.
We are getting very mad at being left out of this conversation.
