The impoverished generally are generally not under employment with the government. A paycheck and basic responsibility to government makes law enforcement easier to set and achieve basic standards of compliance for the common good and control of their activity is a functional governmental responsibility.

Are you saying government should stay out of societal workings among the people and social construct?

No. Just that you some times have more control over certain groups who feel obligated (due to employment) to comply than those that you do not have an active sway over, so it is the easier way to go, though both deserve attention of government. Our government and political system has really not shown much talent for effective long term positive influence on the instincts of the marginalized part of society, usually just throwing money at the problem.

No crime is not being disproportionately committed by those of a certain race. When we look at the participants in crime we see that whites commit nearly triple the crime. When you make up 70 percent of the crime while having 1/2 of the poverty , have 15 times the wealth, control all the institutions, you are the race with the problem. Whites should have a crime rate of between 5-10 percent, but it's 70 percent and you guys want to multiply and divide until you can get a number that tells you how everybody else is a criminal but whites.

When I read this post, I was instantly reminded of a former government official (he is still living, so I shan't name him) who said in 2005 on the radio that this country would have a very low crime rate if certain folks were forced to have abortions. He emphasized that such a policy would be reprehensible. Nevertheless, he was criticized for that comment, but he has not yet been canceled, to the best of my knowledge.
