Why FedEx sucks ass...

I owned UPS stores for 18 years and UPS F up
A ton !!
My last store in LV seem to have late or lost packages every week
Nah, don't buy it.
We are a UPS premium shipper, shipping multiple packages a day - two pickups a day with a lone truck.
We have a problem with a package less than once a year. UPS's on time delivery is 98% - and that includes weather delays.

No, it isn't possible with BCC and Fusion Pro.
BCC uses Address normalization and does not include unmailable addresses when producing the list.
Fusion Pro, the software that takes the datalist and applies it to the PDFs - will not process the list if you make the address area too small etc. that truncates the address or places a portion of the address where there is printing.
As well as all of our mail is IMB IntelligentMail Barcoded.
If you have seen that, and I am sure you have, it is being done likely by crappy online mail software.
how would they know if the apt no is missing or if the person has moved or if the address is good?...all that mail gets shit canned unless you want the letters back...so that means lots of mail did not get delivered and of course the PO gets blamed...

if the PO is so bad how come the other services use them to deliver a hell of a lot of their parcels?........
Cheaper. And I will say that the Post Office sided with UPS works well, when it first started it wasn't so awesome, but once they got it lines out - it works very well, certainly better than FedSux.
I was speaking about using US Parcel Mail stand alone, which is "we'll get it there when it gets there". - Having said that, they do not claim or pretend to deliver parcels in guaranteed times like UPS does.

Are you sure you know about mailing?
This is 2025. All Marketing Mail is required to go through address verification software in order to claim presorted automated mail. An address without an apartment/Ste number will get kicked out and will not be in the final list to mail.

cheaper?.....they pay the PO to deliver them.....

and who verifies that the address is correct?....mail from the registrar of voters is supposed to be exact....yet they have lots of bad addresses ....the PO is who has to correct their mistakes....you just mailed the stuff...people like me delivered it and we get to see all the mistakes....if lots of your mail never made it to were it was going it was because something was wrong with the letter...

And they pay the PO a fraction of what they would pay a driver to deliver them.

The post office delivers to every address in the country. They're going there anyway, so their cost is just the marginal cost of carrying that extra package.
The transportation costs were already paid by the other postal customers.

Maybe you have a great hub ??
What kind of business and how many packages do you ship a day

Go pick it up yourself.
I tried that with UPS.
You have to jump through hoops to find out where the package actually is.
The AP tells you it's "out for delivery" starting at 2 o'clock in the morning, when the truck doesn't leave the UPS center until 7 am at the earliest.

Do you think that big truck is just for your one package?

Sadly, I am afraid your experience is from the way they were, not to the way they are now.
I mail checks, receive checks from all over the country. We also do marketing mail that is delivered out of well over 1000 post offices in numerous states.
Particularly standard mail is simply getting lost. Never delivered. This is a very real problem only in the past few years. The biggest problem for decades was delayed mail in non first class mail. Now it is mail that simply vanishes.
You can expect that as you drive down wages to be "profitable" and the people you entrust with it are not exactly the most reliable people you want working for you.

But you have to take what you can get.

Of course not. But they keep trying to deliver when i'm at work aka 9am to 5pm. And after 3 delivery attempts they give up.

In 2022, the United States Postal Service (USPS) had 338,743 mail carriers.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has over 37,000 post offices, stations, and branches across the country.

Amazon has a great delivery system in place.
The sad thing is that your Amazon account can be hacked into at any time. I just now had to change my password over there again because a hacker got in and loaded up my shopping cart with all sorts of crap. Thankfully a purchase was never made, but this has happened to me around ten times now.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. UPS still owes me a refund for a DVD that I never did get from Ebay in late 2021.

According to CBS News (overnight) the Postal Service is required to deliver all packages that UPS or FEDEX cannot or will not deliver. Those two can refuse to deliver a package, but the USPS cannot refuse to deliver a package.
