Why FedEx sucks ass...

I don't agree, the Post Office serves the entire country, there will be some offices worse than others, the majority do an exceptional job daily.
Sadly, I am afraid your experience is from the way they were, not to the way they are now.
I mail checks, receive checks from all over the country. We also do marketing mail that is delivered out of well over 1000 post offices in numerous states.
Particularly standard mail is simply getting lost. Never delivered. This is a very real problem only in the past few years. The biggest problem for decades was delayed mail in non first class mail. Now it is mail that simply vanishes.

They're all about the same, if you ask me.

I get shipments all of the time from all of em.

Sometimes they're smooth. Sometimes they're not.

Shipping costs are through the roof all the way around, though.

who prepares your marketing mail?.....

maybe they are not putting complete addresses on the mail....and yes i have run into this many times over the years...
No, that is not possible. Fusion Pro will not process the list if the address is truncated
We are professional mailers. Millions of pieces a year.

Four days. Three States. Only 11 miles closer to home.
UPS - I would have received the package yesterday instead of now 3 days later.
UPS - 2 days
FedEx - 6 days

Definitely the worst....Last time I was able to get a "customer service" rep on the phone, I grilled the fuck out of him where my package was....He kept saying "I can only say that it's on the way", even though he was also informed that I would know where my package was coming from the damn post office.

They suck on toast and I'll never use them if given a choice.

lots of it depends on how good the offices management is...a lousy station manager can make the office look bad...and there lots of bad managers in the PO,especially the middle managers....horrible people... all out for themselves....
They still have a passable tracking system....You'll always know where your parcel is.

They need to go the way of DHL.... gone.
When the post office is better than you at delivering parcels, you know you are bad.

yes it is possible....i have seen mail with incomplete addresses....for instance one of the biggest errors is no apt number on apt complexes.....names of people who have moved.....people who are unknown....everything goes through a machine and that machine reads whatever is on that barcode that that company puts on the letters if the barcode is wrong,if the letter was supposed to go to Miami and the machine sees NYC were do you think that letter is going?...mass mailings have many undeliverable pieces of mail....

My dog ran the fedex dude back into his truck a while ago.....i gave him a biscuit! ~S~

No, it isn't possible with BCC and Fusion Pro.
BCC uses Address normalization and does not include unmailable addresses when producing the list.
Fusion Pro, the software that takes the datalist and applies it to the PDFs - will not process the list if you make the address area too small etc. that truncates the address or places a portion of the address where there is printing.
As well as all of our mail is IMB IntelligentMail Barcoded.
If you have seen that, and I am sure you have, it is being done likely by crappy online mail software.

if the PO is so bad how come the other services use them to deliver a hell of a lot of their parcels?........
